Secondary Sun Visor

i know there are several of you out there who have had problems w/ the material on the secondary sunvisor tearing at the seam. i had the stealer order me a visor to be put on at the same time as my brake TSB and seatbelt recall. so, i go out to my truck and pull down the first visor and the second one is falling halfway out of the hole that its supposed to be mounted in. naturally, IM PISSED. not to mention there were greasy fingerprints on it. so, i pull directly into the service door, right infront of the service desk and the service manager comes over (hes real good btw), and says "whats wrong steve?" i go to show him and now the second visor falls out of the hole. i tell him to order me a new one (b/c of the greasy fingerprints) and just get this one back in correctly until the new one comes in. week later, the new one comes in, i get it, put it in myself in 5 min. so far so good, no tearing.
i guess my point is, these are apparently in good supply if anybody wants to replace their torn ones. sorry so long winded.

steve

The 2nd sun visor on my passenger side also has large tear at the seam. I asked the dealer to replace it and it's on back order.

I thought I was only one with a dealership full of incompetance. I have learned to finally do whatever I CAN to fix things myself. Everytime I gave the guys at the dealership a shot, it was a loosing battle. They just dont seem to give a rats a$$. I even passed on free oil change due to worrying about a scratch, ding or grease on seats etc etc. I might give another dealer, about 25 minutes further away, a shot, I am sure there are some good ones out there.

Mine was delivered to me torn, we went around the block, G.F. noticed it, we went right back, new one was put in that next week...

My dealerships latest findings on my TPS light coming on at highway speeds when hitting a bump on the right side was... " Rear tires were found to only have 30psi in them "

I laughed and laughed, I said, no they had 36 in them like they are suppose to, but thats ok, I'll let you guys check it again at my next oil change...

Maybe the 6th try will be the charm...
