Thumbs down So you think the Titan is the only one with problems!

For all those ready to go and buy a new f-150 or a Dodge go to www.ownersite.com and search the TSB's for those trucks. The Titan looks pretty good compared to those trucks.

I just looked up the 04 F150, wow does it have drive train problems and brake problems. I'll deal with a fading radio any day.

Like most of us have already said, the new model year F150 has issues as well. I can just see it now, when those who have gone to an F150 or Dodge cause of their problems with a Titan, come back saying "I wish I had kept my Titan". Oh well, they can't blame anyone but themselves.

Sorry, I am one who went to 04' F150 b/c of Titan problems and you will never catch me saying that "I wish I had kept my Titan". The engine would pretty much have to fall out for me to be sorry. The Titan is a fine truck, but after owning both, the 150 FX4 is a step up for me. The power is down on the 150 compared to the Titan, I will give it that, but in every other arena that I am interested in (ie looks, interior, brakes, ride, payload, fit and finish) the Ford definetely gets the nod IMHO. I have a Superchips coming Tuesday to help out in the power department...supposedly good for 20+ hp and 25 ft./lbs of torque....we shall see, results are pretty consistent from everything I have read.

To those who took offense to some of my previous posts three or four days ago...I do apologize...was the end of a very ****ty week. I still enjoy this forum, no matter what names are thrown my way

Down on power, looks and the money in your wallet admorris. I was a big Ford fan until the Titan came out. Even with the superchips you'll still be behind the titan you used to own

You are right about the money...I'll give you that, but my peace of mind is worth more than what I lost on trade in. Money was the least of my concerns.

I keep hearing about this "SuperChip" from a friend of mine who has a F250 diesel SCrew. He says it kicks butt. Is there really one for the diesel that makes that much diference?

the diesel chips are different, some of those bully dog chips for diesels are good for 50-100 hp.

they have some kits that require a few other changes like injectors and etc. that are good for 150 or more. there was a duramax at the drags running 13's with the bully dog systems.

We will check back on that f-150 and see when your rear end starts whining or your tranny has problems or your brakes or your ------------------------. Maybe you bought a 150 after they fixed some of the problems, maybe not. Time will tell. No problems now with my Titan, had some but now fixed and enjoying every mile now. I hope your f-150 works for you but remember they have huge problems too.

Wow, does that mean one of those could give our Titans a run for our money?

I've got a build date of 09/04...so hopefully any problems they had are fixed on mine. So far not a peep...smooth as silk.

Here's another source for consumer complaints, TSBs, recalls, etc.

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/

Just rolled over 1200 miles on my Titan - no problems.

I bought my 1st new vechicle in 1971, I have had a lot of new cars and trucks since, and my Titan has had the least problems of any of them. My last truck when new,Ford F-150, had a gas leak when you filled the tank, had to replace the tail shaft bushing and seal the first month, then went 176,000 trouble free miles after that.
