how to remove door panels???

hey guys
my drivers side door has a ticking sound in there from time to time and its getting pretty annoying. does anyone have a write up on how to remove the drivers side door panels. id like to fix it myself, however, if its really complicated or risky (parts breaking etc) i'll just take it to the dealer.
thanks
kevin

Easy

I assume the Titans are just like my Armada. That said,

1. There are 5 screws to remove

2 behind the door pull (pop the cover off)
1 behind the armrest (pop off the armrest by pulling straight up from the back of the door to the front- it's going to be stubborn but the clips holding it are metal- you won't break them)
1 behind the little cover behind the door pull (obvious)
Another 1 behind the cover that's behind the door pull

2. After that you can just pull the panel off with a good tug. There are little plastic "trees" that are around the perimeter of the door. They will pop right out. When you're done they'll pop back in.

Note* The plastic sheeting (you'll see) inside on the door frame can be removed and put back if you do it carefully. Just pull the plastic from the edges- the putty-like glue will reseal when you're done.

You might listen to the "click" carefully and make sure it's not coming from the top of the door. Nissan does a pretty good job of securing everything inside the door or making it out of rubber so it won't make noise. I had a ticking noise from my pass. door and it turns out it was the weatherstripping where the window meets the door. It got compressed enough to allow the window to rattle against the door frame. Some dynamat cut into 1" strips and put on the inside of the door frame solved the problem. I applied the dynamat to the frame, put the weatherstripping back, and the noise was gone.

Good luck!
