2005 Tacoma "deck rail" - highest form of flattery?

Looks like Toyota decided to add a utilitrack-like system to the new Tacoma called the "deck rail" system. http://pressroom.toyota.com/photo_li...d=2005tacoma_r

I guess imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

Yeah, It has 120v outlet in the bed which is really cool. I wish the Titan had both.

I thought I saw in a commercial last night during "West Wing" (something along the lines of "for the cost of three soy lattes a day, you can have the Tacoma...") that they said that the Tacoma is the only truck to offer a spray in bedliner and that it is rust and dent proof. Did I hear correctly? Did they not do their research?

The bed is composite, I was thinking the same thing until I heard that part. Sorry I'll stick with my Titan

The fact that they are putting out 245hp makes me think they are going to try and up the antee on the 305hp Titan with the new Tundra coming out soon.

I'm not sure this link will work, the Toyota website is not real friendly.
Have you seen the new Tacoma interior?

Hmmm, does the layout of that center pod look at all familiar...

Toyota web site... here go to this web page

Oh good. We can have the Titan that people say is similar to the Ford interior which is similar to the Tacoma interior. So much for driving a truck with "bold and unique styling."

I Think The New Tacoma Is Pretty Cool, Not A Cool As The New Frontier, And Not Even Close To My Titan, But Still Cool If You Like Little Girly Trucks...just Kidding. My Uncle Has A Jacked Up 4x4 Old Tacoma 4banger And That Thing Is A Tank. He Lives In The Country For Real And Beats The Crap Out Of That Truck And It Still Runs Good. He Bought A V6 4x4 Frontier And He Swears That The Tacoma Has More Power...but He Still Drives The Nissan All The Time Now So Go Figure.
