No Titan Problems Here !

Nubie here,
May I say that some of you guys are starting to bring me down,I may be way off base here(i have a feeling you all will let me know) but I have had my truck for 2 weeks and put 700 miles on it and love it!! I have had not one problem yet. The build date was 9-04 maybe that has something to do with it, but and after reading all the negative posts I thought we could start a positive thread where owners could relate good experiences with their Titans.

So flame away.......

I have stated many times that I have had no problems with mine (born date 01/04).

If they flame you, they better start with me.

Talking

I have had my Pear White Titan SE KC 4 x 4 with Big Tow and e-loc and utilitrac system for 1,400 miles now..Born on 5-20-04.....Bought on 10-20-04..mpg's are going up after 1,200 miles......tires are at 40 PSI......Nothing is wrong.....some getting used to the Titan truck after 6 years with my T100-Titan-like the electric gear shift knob and peculiarities. Sure the FM radio is not as good as my T100's.....but that is minor. I'm getting the same mpg's as my T100 did in town....with the bigger Titan V-8 engine and weight etc. I live in the mountains of WNC.....use the 4 wheel low and high range every day to get up and down my steep graveled driveway..I use the gears more than the brakes to do the slowing down always. I plan on a 9% fuel loss due to the altitude I live at 3,200' on the average. I'm already getting above 16 mpg on the highway.......if I go 60 mph on the average.....I log every tank of fuel.....and use the 4% distance correction when figuring the actual mpg's........so far I am pleased with that also. I have only used regular gas.
My back...has seen more miles than any vehicle...period.........and in my T100 after one hour of driving it would hurt...didn't have lumbar control. With the Titan I have never had a back-ache and traveled up to 6 hrs. without pain and haven't even used the lumbar control!!......this has really helped my ability to have a comfortable ride which I thought I would never have again!!! Another pleasant surprise!!!
I plan to keep my Titan like I did my T100-Titan for up to 6 years. I know I will learn all the quirks good and not so good, and deal with modifying them or put-up with them....that's how vehicles are. With all the gadgets on a Titan.....your gonna have some things to take care of......like any other vehicle. But for me it is just getting better and better..and I also like to tweak, polish and enjoy.......My Titan!!![/color]

In general it seems that those built after July are in good shape. Mine was built 8/4/04 and I don't have any problems at all. Purchased on 9/22/04 and I now have 4,000 miles on it.

Yup, 8/04 build date picked up 9/20/04 and no problems. At first I thought I had a few but I was just paranoid from all the post's here.

Generally speaking the Titan is a good truck. Of course there are gonna be problems and I think you have probably come across a good chunk of those who have had serious problems. I have not had anything bad go wrong with my truck - still runs like a champ and the few problems that I have had, the dealership has taken care of. I had the tire monitor go off this morning on my way to work, and appears to have worked the way it is supposed to have, as for some reason all my tires have gotten down to 25psi - will have to go to a service station and fill them up. Otherwise, don't let those with the serious issues get you down. It's been touched on numerous times in multiple places, this is a first year model, so there are going to be expected problems, just some people I think tend to blow them more out of proportion than should be. Anyway, good luck and enjoy that new Titan, you'll love it more and more every day!

my titan was built 6/04, i now have 6000 miles on it and have had no serious issues. what problems i have had were minor. Eastern Carolina Nissan in new bern, nc has been great to work with both in sales and service. i would recommend a TITAN to anyone, and i agree, the more you drive it, the more you want to drive it.

Same here. 2 weeks no problems. I thought I had a rattle start, but it was my wheel lock rattling in the glove box! Go figure. 1300 miles here so far. Had 8 when I picked it up, so yeah I drive a lot! 09/04 build

I was feeling similarly, but then I started this thread:

Percentage of Titans with problems?

..and realized that things are not as bad as they sometimes appear here. I have close to 2000 miles on my truck (built in late August), and it's been perfect so far.

Mine was made in 03/04. I just started to have the brake thing after 6500 miles. The Radio fade and the window jumping a little are the only two major issues I have had so far, wouldn't trade it for anything right now, can't wait for some snow to have some fun
