Trade agreements such as NAFTA have been good for both the US and Canada however as in a few instances when the US doesn't like something then it charges huge duties on imports which is contrary to NAFTA - my comment was what would happen in the US if gas prices were raised to the world level ????

Nice talk from a FRIENDLY American but I do believe in public transit to reduce the gas usage of my Titan

Let's see, America has no flu vaccine - Americans boarding buses to come to Canada to get flu shots. Let's continue, prescription drugs priced out of reach for the average American. Americans (especially seniors) crossing Canadian border to fill much needed prescriptions. Drug companies don't care about the average American.

Socialist system so be it - I have access to free hospitalization - Ask the 40 to 50 million Americans who have no medical insurance whatsoever

America has too few flu vaccines due to a failed system pushed by Hilary Clinton where every one was going to be vaccinated through government price controls, the manufacturers decided it wasn’t profitable to make the vaccines any more not to mention possible lawsuits from someone having ill effects so most decided to stop manufacturing. Canadians enjoy lower prices on prescription drugs only because Americans are subsidizing them, manufacturers will continue to sell in countries like Canada as long as they can break even. However that is not sustainable if the same happened in America there would no longer be any motivation to develop new and innovative drugs. America’s answer to prescription drugs and healthcare insurance isn’t by creating a socialized system where the system is in constant crisis and you only get mediocre basic healthcare with little choice. And you may as well forget about any cutting edge procedures that may save your life. This is the price we pay for living in a free market, love it or not. I for one will take the American system with its flaws any day over a socialized bureaucracy.

Since we've gotten completely off the subject thanks to our good friend from the great white north, hunter, I'd like to ask you how the NHL season is going in your failed hockey world? Oh, that's right. It's NOT going.

I pay $1.83/gallon and have no complaints. I'm a happy American.

Back on the subject, I just paid $2.59 /gal to fill up last weekend going to Glamis. I also filled up 3 of my '5-gallon' jugs that actually hold about 6 gallons each. That's an additional 18 gallons to the truck's 25 or so that I filled up from near-empty. The bill was OVER $110 !!!
Needless to say, desert season as I know it will be getting cut short this year to make room for the Christmas expenses. That was the last trip for me until a couple pay checks past New Years.

The good news is I only pay about $2.50 for a gallon of milk.
