Paging Juma; RE: Timing Advance vs. Fuel Grade

I've been off the forum for a couple months and after doing a search for the subject and reading the posts, I'm wondering if you arrived at a definitive answer as to whether using 89 or 93 octance allows more timing advance, hence, more power.
When you first posted about this a few months back I was very skeptical; however, I swear my SOP dyno tells me the Titan accelerates better with 89 fuel. I gotta know how your empirical data compares to my arse.

Not sure how long you were gone, but this was back in late July. He used a computer to find out that higher octane DOES advane the timing. Your ARSE is off!

yeah, I'm convinced it does. my run up to new york didn't add any data to the timing advance because there were nothing but hills, but, I did get a solid 1-1.5 mpg better mileage with 89. to do that, it would have to advance a little to generate more torque and with 89 it could. juma
