Yep saw oh I think 6 of them in a 4 hour period at work. Not only does the trac system resemble to Titans, but so do the clamps. OOO its oh soo cool they get a yfz450 to do a burnout in the bed of the truck....yet dont show you the aftermath just move straight to dumping water in it like that proves anything.

The dash is also laid out very similar to ours. Its a mini Titan from Toyota.

more tracks more stuff for um

I for one am all for it. The more trucks with trac systems built-in the more aftermark stuff for them there will be.

It's not a bedliner in the new Tacoma. The inside bed walls are made of Fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite (SMC) instead of a metal. You don't need a bedliner in this since theoretically it wont rust or dent. Only time will tell how strong and durable this material will prove to be. If if does live up to Toyota's claims, however, it will be better than metal sprayed with a liner.

In case anyone hasn't realized, Nissan copied the best attributes from everyone's truck when designing theirs and either equalled them or upped them a little, with the exception of the Utili-track system. Of course the latest thing Nissan copied was the power rear window which was a first from Toyota and I wouldn't be surprised if Nissan copied Toyota and put in a 400w power inverter next.

toy deck bars

I've long thought it would be cool to mount my yak bars between the util track. I was just looing at the toy's deck system assesories and they have um. http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/2005/....html?=bedbars

It would be a nice add to the titan line up of UT stuff with all standard yak or tule stuff.

One thing Toyota does well is copy successful ideas and make them better. That’s what they did to the Domestic manufacturers.

I've seen the SMC plastic. Unfortunately, it's standard on ALL models, and there are several for 2005. Owners will have to live with a plastic looking bed. Big mistake in my opinion, a certain percentage of people will not like the SMC.
