Titan and Murano?

Love my titan. Now the wife is looking for something new. We drove the Altima and the Murano. She loves the Murano, but not sure it's worth 10k more for it, and 20mg.

Seems to be a good vehicle.. just wondering if anyone has any opions. She's also looking at a Rav4 and possibly the Honda CRV.. I think the Murano would be the perfect match for the Titan.. and the insurance seems to be lower than other vehicles for it! (And $1000 cash back right now). But they're more expensive than my Titan to begin with!

Be sure she looks at the new Pathfinder too. It will have more room, but possibly not as nice on the interior. I like the Murano (if you can get over the fact that its essentially a souped up minivan), but its pretty pricy for what you get.

how about the escape hybrid? the escape is a pretty nice small suv and a very attractive one in the hybrid model if you want good fuel economy

I drive an Armada and my wife has a Murano. She had three Maximas before the Murano. She loves the Murano, wouldn't trade it for anything.

My wife wants badly to trade in her '02 Passat for a Murano with all the goodies. Problem: Price and Mileage. Advantages: Great Looks, high tech interior and tranny, great storage space.

My saleslady had me look at the Pathfinder too.. then we're looking at even worse gas milage.. but a few k in savings. They have a 2wd murano without a lot of goodies for 26k (after the rebate). PRobably a little more room for price lowering there.

Just go up to a new pathy and slam the door! You'll be hooked. With 25 more HP than the Murano and more seating, I think she'll like it.

The Escape hybrid wouldn't be a good choice - not because there is anything bad with it, but because just like any other hybrid that has come out recently, there is a waiting list, and if its anything like the Toyota Prius, you'll be waiting awhile.

Now, personally I would go for the Altima, not the Murano. I just don't like the look of the Murano. To me it just looks plain ugly. The Honda CRV is established, but has been in the news recently due to engine compartment fires. RAV4 is too small in my opinion. I want something with some mass to it, something that I will atleast have a chance of surviving an impact in. If it was down to the Murano or Altimta, definately go with the Altima. My mom has a 2002 and everytime I drive it, it's like I've strapped into an oversized go cart, with luxury. It's very responsive, and well equipped. My mom and step dad just got back from a roundtrip road trip to Vermont and back to Texas, by way of several different family members located across the east coast. No problems whatsoever with the Altima from what I understand and very comfortable for them and a small dog, with decent luggage space in the trunk.

if you're looking for an suv, you might look at the honda pilot. you can get a decently loaded one for less than the murano. i owned one for a while and it was a good vehicle. incredible amount of interior space for it's class.

I purchased a Murano in 2003 and I love it. It's the wife's daily driver but we always take it on long trips. I have had zero problems after 15,000 miles. It's great in the snow and is really a joy to drive.

I have the Titan and my wife has the Murano. She loves it. It has a nice set of goodies in it and rides great. It has a great road feel and zips in and out of traffic with ease. MPG isn't that bad either. It's deceiving when your in it on how big it is. It feels alot smaller but take it to the store and boy can she pack it full of a lot of stuff. I say go for it and enjoy.

Have the 2003 and love it for trips. Max 22mpg so far which is plenty for this much power and innovation. Would buy another

My wife's co-worker has a Murano, and it has been in and out of the shop for the ECVT at least 5 times in the last 6 months. I kinda liked it until I heard about her problems.
