Rear lowering kit available soon

It seems my search for a rear lowering kit for my CC 4x4 www.usantonio.com/busrtsphoto2A.htm may come to an end pretty soon. I called BellTech's technical department and was told that a kit for the Titan is "in the works" and to call them in January for possible availability to the general public. A relief for me and those who prefer lowering the rear 2-3 inches versus raising the front 2-3.

Because the rear is 3 inches (OEM) higher the the front. Other owners level the difference by "raising" the front 2-3 inches while owners like me prefer the rear lowered 2-3 inches to level the truck. Well, you asked WHY? My "personal perspective" is that the ground clearance is as high as the part of the truck closest to the ground (which is the front ?) So if I lower the rear to even with the front, I have not effectively decreased the ground clearance of the vehicle correct? However, lowering the rear lowers the "center of gravity" thereby improving "lateral stability" for a some amount of safety improvement in my book.

NOTE: I'm not lowering the entire truck. I am LEVELING the truck by lowering the rear to EVEN with the front. See response #3 above for my personal rationale.

Watch your departure angle. Even at factory hieght, I find sand or dirt in my trailering plug alot. The cover makes a great scoop.

gr8titan,

Don't waste your breath, or I mean keystrokes, on explaining why you want to lower either a 4X2 or 4X4 on this web site. Too many others tell you bad, bad, don't understand, don't understand, why, why, waste of money, waste of money, etc, etc, and yet never come back with logical reasons (i.e. common sense) dictating why they offer this advice.

Check out thread by Gator "My Lowered Titan" where he installed a 2X4 lowering kit, reasons for doing this and was, like you, quizzed about his sanity.

If your desire is to lower instead of lift, go for it, and be happy with what will work for you. Others here feel the same way but tend to get drowned out by the only direction to take the Titan is up, up, up crowd. To each his own.

Marv

Marv, appreciate your independent thinking. My reason for posting is the fact that other owners (like me) are searching for a rear lowering kit and I felt obligated to share the information so they may have additional options down the horizon. I believe that other folks who can not "see" multiple perspectives and unable respect other Titan owners' "preferences" are themselves blinded by their own tunneled vision and unable to weigh the pros and cons intelligently..

There are a few of us on here that approve of lowered trucks...

Thanks for the news, I've been waiting for a name brand kit to come out...

However, the kit from the company in Pheonix has been getting good reviews by people on the board here...

It will prob. be spring before I can lower mine...

You'll just have to ignore others that dont agree with lowering a truck...

I've owned more lowered vechicles than I havent, well I guess they were not lowered before they were, but you know what I mean...
