So who uses their truck the way a truck was designed?

So does anyone use their truck the way it was designed? I know trucks are a turning more and more into the cadilac escalade est's, all show and no work. I started another thread about gravel in my tailgate and people started suggestion ways around using the Titan what it was intented to do, work. So far I've used my truck for hunting, moving lumber, and hauled 2000+ lbs gravel and various other items. I know that my frame will never be clean again from the crazy trails to get to my hunting spot and I know the scratches that are in my bedliner are there to stay.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Do you have to use 4 Lo to make it over the speed bumps with the big tires or you just hit it with a running start?

mine is on the construction site every day. always hauling lumber around or steel house braces. if it is in a house or used to make one, its been in the back of my truck. heaviest load so far is 56 sheets of 7/16 plywood. trust me, its alot of weight. got me pretty nervous. thought the gate was going to snap. in case you are wondering, the titan can balance a 16ft 2x10, but you will feel like a jackarse driving down the road. i definitly put this truck to the test. on and off at least 15 times a day. idles for long periods of times. long distance driving, off road, reverse at high speeds (no time to turn around), and everything else. i can proudly say this truck is standing strong with 16K on the odometer now, and it has been living this life from mile #1. Titan = truck.

my titan is used as a work truck, hauling around garage from renovating apartments/condo's etc and delivering material to two of my businesses also for use for work around the house.

and sometimes its used "like its designed to" and puts a couple hemis, f150's and silverados behind at the lights

I had cars, to limited. I use my XE CC 4X4 for camping(tent) and fishing and any firewood that I can squeeze into the truck also. The first week of ownership I've moved 2 people and more are on a waiting list.

I've already hauled garden tractor accessories and other stuff. I did the same with my previous Xterra SE 4X4 but it just ran out of cargo room to fast. I needed the truck.

Ah yes, the truck is still in showroom condition as was my 2000 Xterra when it was traded in(that brought in an additional $600 over Kelly Blue Book 'Excellent' trade-in Value). The Titan will be no different.

BTW, how do you guys live with those hard tonneau covers? I just can't image confining my cargo area.

Have a good one.

I don't have a lot of heavy stuff to haul, do transport my 4 wheeler and anything else that I need to haul. Use the four wheel drive a good bit during hunting season, rest assured I used my last truck in some pretty rough spots but I didn't abuse it.The people that can't tell the differance between using and abusing are the one's with beat up and broken trucks. And yes I bought white because it dosen't show scratches as bad as dark colors. My last two 4 x4's where white also.
