captain driver seat?

does anyone else have gripes about the armrest for the drivers seat. I dont know if its me, but mine seems angled to high. The only way to get it lower is to raise up the seat back. But then I am sitting too straight. So for me the armrest stays in the up position. Anyone else?

I dont have the problem with the arm rest, however I do have a problem with my chair squeeking like a stuck pig - it's about to the point that Im gonna have to say something but I just dont want to hear "Hmmm nothing we can do about that!" Anyone else? Maybe it's time to install my booming system!

the armrest should angle down about another 5 degrees, and i think it should be about 2 inches longer

I agree. I think it the armrest either has to be made a bit wider or longer. Sometimes I rest my arm on the center console while driving.

Ditto...armrest seems fine to me, but going around a corner makes the seat squeek like an old rickety rocking chair. Does anyone know of a fix for the squeek?

6thsense, have you tried unbolting the armrest and see if it can be repositioned at all? I think you just pop off the plastic cover and you can access the bolt. I would try it but like I said, mine are okay and I don't want to screw them up!

my only grip about the armrest is that I can't seem to unbuckle with it down.

other than that I got no squeeks and no problem with its size

just picked 1 up tonight but didn't notice until later that the seat seems lopsided. 1 cheek seems to sit a little higher than the other. Anyone feel the same?

My fix:

WD-40 at seat belt pivots. Eliminated my driver's seat squeek permanently.

I keep my armrest up also, it's more comfortable for me just to use the console.

Hmmm, I assumed it was part of the seat frame squeeking. Are you referring to the part where you actually buckle the belt (near the center console). That would be a nice easy fix!

Chair

Armrest is OK for me, 5'9" with stubby arms! No squeaks. The rest of the seat including the range of motion, lateral support, cushioning, etc, just plain sucks. I'd trade for a Chevy Captains chair in a heartbeat.

That would be it. Simple and it works.

Good luck!

Well, I tried it.....and it still makes the noise
Oh well, I'll have to look at it more when I get a chance..but it does seem to come from around that same area.
