Do you have a Leaky rack and pinion steering gear?

I was taking my truck in to the dealer to replace a defective outside mirror and decided to check the truck over for any leaks or potential problems. When looking a the power rack and pinion steering gear, I noticed the rubber boots on each side going to the wheels were soaked in oil. There were no leaks in my garage, but I knew it is not right for those boots to be oily. At the dealer I found out that they have had problems with defective seals on the units which allowed leakage. Just a heads up to check yours before a major problem could happen.

my new titan started leaking fluid on the rack on the way home from the dealer (31 miles new)....I have had it for 2 weeks now, and I have been able to drive it for 3 days. The parts take a while for Nissan to get them....I was very pleased with the service dept...except for 2 new scratches on 1 of my wheels from the alignment machine.
