I have a Titan King Cab, and although it fit's in the garage, I wish it was just a few inches shorter. Due to this, I have been noticing length stats lately, and I was surprised to find out that although the Titan looks to be the biggest truck, and has the largest interor dimensions, it is actually the shortest overall in this configuration as compared to the big 3.

daschtick your right on the nose. I noticed the same thing so I measured the nose of my F150 and thats where the 6 inches are. I'll be a Titan driver soon!!!!!! My Xmas present to me!!!!!!!! I'll be ordering an 05 around turkey day.
The one that really shocked me was the Chevy. Side by side, the Titan dwarfs it, yet the Titan is actually more garage friendly. I assumed the opposite.

Thanks to the cab forward design and the smaller bed, it is much smaller, especially the Tundra four door, I think the bed is at least another 1-1.5' longer on the Tundra.
My Titan SQUEEZES into my garage with 4" in the rear (NO BALL MOUNT), 4" in front, and about 2 inches to spare by the mirrors. I had to hang a tennis ball from the ceiling so that when I drive in, the ball touches the windshield, and I know I'm in.
If I could bring it in the house, I would... That's how much I love this truck.
I'm waiting for the woman to ask...
"It's either me or your stupid truck?"
My answer...
"Well, we'll need the truck to move all your stuff out!"

The difference is, the extended cab versions of the big 3 have a bigger back seat area.
I could not understand where you found 227.7", as I found my data on Edmunds also. After some investigating, here is what I found out:
The 230.2" length is for the '05 model, while the 227.7" is for the '04. I am not sure what the difference is, but this data is from Edmunds.

I notice you have the Big Tow package, so you probably need the hitch, but if you replaced your rear bumper with a roll pan and got a 'hide-a-hitch', you might lose about 4"-6" that way.
I squeeze the Titan in my garage like you guys. I leave the ball mount in the receiver and back in slowly. I do the last 1-2 feet VERY slowly and when the truck stops (the ball mount hits the wood on the garage wall) that leaves me only about 2-3" on the front bumper to the garage door. VERY tight here too.
actually the Tundra isnt a full size truck it is smaller than the big 3 and the Titan
Not exactly. The Tundra Double Cab is 230.1" in length and has a 74.3" inside bed length. The Titan crew cab is 224.2" in length and has an inside bed length of just 67.1". The extra 7.2" bed length is very useful to me as it would be with most people who use trucks for typical truck things.
