Door rattle fixes
I only have 6000 miles on my Titan (have only had it 6 weeks LOL) but both front doors have had annoying rattles. There was also a terrible resonance form the doors whenever a song with substantial bass was played. What I found is that there are two locations on the door panels that were poorly thought out. They are the front edge and rear edge of the panels. If you look at the bottom edge of the panel it is pulled away from the metal of the door very slightly... enough to prevent a rattle at that location. The front/rear edges are not like that. They rest directly on the metal of the door and are prone to generating noise.
What I did was buy some dynamat like material from a stereo shop and put narrow strips of it on the metal surface of the door at where the front/rear edges of the door panel would rest. I kept them in just enough so that you will never see them with the panel installed. Now the panel edges are not free to vibrate against the metal directly. I no longer have annoying rattles while on a rough road and I can now turn up the Beastie Boys without hearing any resonance from the door panels. It is so nice now.
It drives me nuts that I have to bandaid something on a brand new vehicle but I know it is better now than it was when I bought it.
