Engines overheating!

Look out for overheating with some newer 04 vehicles. I was at my dealer yesterday and he asked if I had any problem with overheating. Seems he has had three vehicles in the last week. Appears the problem is the clutch fans. One overheated with 70 miles on the truck. Roasted it before they could sell it. All were newer trucks with less than 1500 miles.

it can leak out slow enough to be vaporized as it comes out or it can be a head gasket leaking it into the cylinders. check the oil fill cap for condensation on the bottom of it. it not, its probably a leak. need dye in the water to find it. juma

I'm having mine checked on friday. After driving for about 20min, I can smell coolant when I get out, and when I close the door I can hear water hitting the exhaust. I just blew it off in the summer time by now that I'm not using AC its got me concerned.

No. You shouldn't need to add coolant at all. Have it checked.

I had a bad radiator myself. Was dropping a spoonful of coolant per on/off cycle. Dealer fixed it and said a few were victims of bad installs from the factory. New one seems to be getting along fine though!
