Heater Gurgle??

Now that the weather's gotten colder, I've been using my heater more. I've noticed that with the temp control all the way over to hot, the Titan gurgles. It sounds like water moving through the heater core. Worst just after startup. Anyone else hear this? Could this be caused by air getting into the system somehow? I have also noticed a coolant smell when I pull into the garage at night an shut her off but I have not noticed any fluid on the ground.
What do you think?

That's odd. No, I have no gurgling sounds. Make sure your coolant is full. There have been some bad radiators and radiator caps.

I use the heater every morning and never heard it?!? I would try purging all the air out of the system as edscholl says.

How do you burp the cooling system? I have heard this sound on other cars, but not my TItan.

If you hear gurgling there is air in the system. You'll have to burp it to get it out, just run the truck with the radiator cap off(makes sure its not hot when you remove the cap). It helps to point the truck up an incline. With the cap off run it with the heat on full blast, add coolent as nessasary and when the bubbles stop it should be done. With my supra everytime i get the gurgling heater core its always been a sign of a blown head gasket, I doubt thats your issue though. If burping doesn't help have the dealer replace the radiator cap.

Yeah, I added more liquid but didn't change anything. I'll try the burping method and see if that cures it. Thanks.
