Do You Think Nissan Offer Will Offer '05 Incentives?

Trying to decide if I should buy short-term or wait to see if there are incentives for the '05 Titan early next year. I get the feeling Nissan is happy with the pricing compared with Detroit and may be happy with the pace of sales for the Titan. This makes me think there may not be any incentives until summer 2005 once '06 clearance begins...

What do you think?

I'm betting on a post holiday sales slump/rebate to buy my 2005 Titan but I can go till the end of the 2005 model year/rebate if necessary. Actually my biggest reasons for not buying the 2004 Titan is the stigma of the "first model year" and the fact that there currently is not enough money incentive between the 2004 and 2005 pricing. (plus I really like the tailgate assist and electric rear window).

Nissan has publically come out and stated that they will not engage in the rebate battle with the big three but we will see if sales start to bottom out due to the huge incentives already offered on the 2005's domestics.

My two cents.

I believe it was late March early April last year...I would expect about the same this year...why? Right at the mid-year point and a $1k rebate at that time is less than the depreciation of a 1/2 model year in the real world.

I think there's no way that they go for incentives on the 05 until all the 04's are gone, at least. CaliforniaTitan has a good point on the depreciation issue also.

I wasn't sure when they started the 2004 incentives. I'm not sure I'd wait till March/April to get $1k rebate. I would wait if they'd offer 2% finanicng for 60 months, but it seems that rates are on their way up all around.

I definitely want an '05 given the new features and the '04 depreciation at this point. I may start looking although there aren't many dealers with much '05 inventory to look at.

BD...Give it a month or so and you will have quite a selection of '05 on the lots. When we got ours 2 weeks ago, there were 10 '05 trucks in the Mossy system (7 dealerships) and half were XE's. Now, they have about 15 or so when I looked a couple days ago.

We didn't get any incentive on the '05 other than the Mossy $1k off MSRP price.

New-Nissans.com (one fo the sponsors) is still touting $500 under invoice on new ones but you will probably have to wait a month or so for the delivery and go pick it up...but at that price, its a heck of a deal. Too bad California has a lot of restrictions on bringing NEW vehicles in from other states.
