Help with bull bar

Hi guys
I tried to install my bull bar with the stock skid plate. I know its been done here. My question is how the brackets the hold the skid plate are mounted. I tried them under the bull bar mount but theskid plate is to low. I wouldn't fit above the bull bar mounts because of the bend in them. Could someone who did this please spell out exactly how they bolted everything up and if I have to modify any brackets. Thanks...

I didn't have to modify it, But I know what your saying. I had to put the bull bar brackets on above the skid's bracket. Leave them loose so you can wiggle it and try to push it as far to the rear as you can. Put the skid plate on and line up the bolts. It took me a couple of times to get it to line up right and the back of the skid plate was still about a half inch forward so I had to retap a hole for the back two small screws. When you have what you think to be the right place, tighten up the brackets then the plate, you may end up doing this a couple of time. It can be done but takes a little playing. I hope this helps. It took me and my buddy about 2 hrs start to finish and a 6 pack to calm our nerves.
