When it's raining my windshield wipers make allot of noise. It can be pouring down rain and they still make noise. I've washed my windshield numerous times. Does anyone have this problem.
YES! Mine is just as bad. I have to see if they have the monsterous sizes(that fit the Titan) in Bosch triple edge wipers. May be that would help.
Boy the trip to Alabama a while back in tropical storm Matthew was like torture with the aweful noise of the driver's side blade.
In the meantime, we have to live with it just like other problems.
Yeah mine make a lot of noise too, but usually only when its actually raining hard. I think I am going to ask the dealer about it next time I am in there.

I have only had my Titan for like 4 days . I do like it but the wipers are annoying and loud. I already have a new Fosgate radio on order, (should be here next week). My window sometimes takes two or more tries to get it to go up. And it seems like it may be out of alignment sliightly. Seems to pull to the right a little bit on a straight road. Other than that I love it hahahaha. 4 days and I already have a list of complaints. Hahahahahaha. Looks great though, hahaha!!!! Oh well. '04 Black LE Crew Big Tow. Build date 4/04. Thank God for warrantees
Hell yeah, just got my titan 2 weeks ago and after encountering it's first rain today, I can honestly say the factory wipers SUCK! Man, does it make noise. hope the dealer replace it with something better or else Pep boys will have to do.

I just replaced the wipers again on my 2000 Cherokee and, for the first time, they are smooth and silent. They are not rubber--auto parts store said graphite(?) or maybe that's my imagination. Anywho, they were a bit more pricey (on sale for $16 each) but I feel well worth it.

I have rain-x and they still make alot of noise. I'm going to get some replacement blades than put down a layer of silicone. My xterra was the same, the oem though wore out within 2 months so they got replaced earlier

Try cleaning the wipers with Windew and a paper towel. Keep cleaning them until no more black shows on the paper towel. Clean the windshield itself obviously, then use a dry silicone spray and coat the wiper blades by spraying the silicone onto a paper towel and wiping the blades. This works WONDERS. Takes care of that shatter and studdering across the windshield. The stock blades work just fine then. I also recommend switching to either Bosch or PIAA wiper blades. These worked well on my Frontier too.
someone on another thread about this same problem I believe suggested rubbing alcohol on a rag rubbed along the blade. Mine briefly made the noise last night, but it was light rain/road mist so the reason for the noise was probably road grime, in addition to the film on it that come from the factory. Anyway, i'm gonna try that today and see what happens

I would think that after not too long, alcohol would dry the rubber out. I guess it would be ok so long as your treated the blades afterwards, like with the silicone spray or something similar.
I found this helpful http://www.4x4wire.com/reviews/silblade/ then got a pair. So far so good. Now I just have to keep the dealer from replacing them with his OEM junk.
