Tourque spec

Seems as there is a lot of interest in differential fluids. Can someone post a tourque spec on the filler and drain nut ? I always feel more comfortable knowing my nuts are in spec.

25 Ft Lb for the filler and 20 for the drain plug.........that sure seems loose after it took an impact wrench to remove mine.....

PS I believe something around here has been said about using a "high temp thread sealer" (not loctite) on the threads also....

They are pipe threads, and I put teflon tape on the drain plug. Snug them up.

I have some pipe sealant with Teflon in my toolbox that I already had for use on water pipes. I read the fine print instructions on the back and saw that it is rated for high temp (500+ degrees) high pressure (10,000 psi) and for oil and fuel. You might look to see if what you already have will do. This works great for me. I got a big jar at Ace Hardware.

Took me quite sometime to download all even with good fast DSL connection.
Looks like I ended up with 54 files - I arranged in 22 folders - was somewhat awkward, clumsy for me to keep track of in downloading or sometimes to now locate what I want to, but much less than $200, $300.

Just download (or if you already have it, place..) the files in the same directory. You will only need to look for "fwd.pdf" if you have the downloaded version from Nissan. That single file indexes you to every other point in all the other files. You shouldn't have to search for anything as long as you used the file names that came up as default when you were downloading. IF you renamed the files, however, the "fwd.pdf" index won't know where to look.

Good links above! The first two show you how to find the service manual for only $20 !!! but like billaku said, it does take some time (less than an hour) to download all the files.
