Yeah i was wondering if anyone has switched the mirrors from tow mirrors to small mirrors or vice versa. I called a dealer and they said that you cannot convert the mirrors because of the eletrical wiring. Has anyone attempted this. let me know thanks
They probably don't recommend it but I don't see why it can't be done. I mean the BT mirrors are power mirrors (concave is still manual), so are the regular mirrors. The only difference might be the heated option in the BT mirrors (don't know if you can even get that on the regular ones). I seem to recall a thread about them awhile back, someone bought (or was considering buying) a set of the regular mirrors for their Titan. This would suggest to me that it could be done.

I just bought a titan and dont really like the small mirrors..by the way they are heated and have the memory option. I saw some BT mirrors on ebay for about $240 at set. Anyone considering trade. Oh and I just noticed that the small mirrors also have a light built in under the mirror.

damn I wish the BT mirrors had a light under them, heck I wish they had a signal built in like the F250/350's do with their tow mirrors. My Tundra had the signal mirros and it was a nice feature. Never really noticed the impact of them untiL I saw them on another vehicle one day.

I put the Big Tow mirrors on and even had that UGLY chrome cover on the back painted to match the truck. HEres some before and after pics:
The new mirrors plugged right into the door harnesses. IF you do have any trouble having them just "plug in," each door harness is VERY cheap, around $45, and takes maybe 30 minutes a side to install. The door panels on the truck are an easy take-off.
For the mirrors you might want to buy two NEW adhesive pieces that go on the inside of the door to cover the bolt holes. Mine are creased now and didn't stick back on as well, but I am kind of anal like that. Others might not care about it so much. Those plastic strips are VERY cheap also, can't remember how much, but lunch money was more.
I have BT mirrors on my LE (Heat & Pwr) and I would like to trade, my only concern is down time, especially now that the winter is upon us. If your close and we could do the trade in a couple of days I would really consider it. Im in OKC.
$1000 is just about right the right price. That is how much they are at the dealers parts dept. NO JOKE. I KNOW FIRST HAND. Yikes.
I know because I broke the litte spot mirror off and I needed to replace the WHOLE mirror. Get this...the dealer would not even sell me one, I had to buy the whole set. Thats when I contacted 1-800-Nissan1 and told them that for some reason the spot mirror on my passenger side "just popped out" while I was driving down the road.
