Tint is scratched

Has anyone had any problems with tinting your titans. Both of my windows have hairline scratches the driver side is scrached from the bottom to the top. I'm going to have to have them both re tinted. Is this going to happen again, and if so is there anyway to stop it?

Well I just went a looked at both windows, the passenger side seal is all warped up and I can't tell why the driver side is doing it.

Can a tint shop replace both seals with felt seals? If so how much will it run?

Thanks

Yup, have two vertical lines on the drivers side that over time have gotten worse.

Those problems are indicitive a bad tint job. It's not a problem with the window. I'd say take it back to where you got it tinted and either get it redone or get your money back to get it done somewhere else.

I also have the problem with vertical scratches on the tint. The problem is with the window seals. It is not a bad tint job. The same technician has tinted all my vehicles windows and the Titan is the only one of the vehicles that has this problem. It is something we will have to live with or find a way to replace the seals with higher quality seals with felt.

I thought I read another thread about this a few months back. Some folks were saying it was no problem for their tenting shop to replace the inner rubber seal with a felt seal. I am going to ask my local tenting shop if they can replacement for me, don't see why they couldn't?

Same Here

Mine has been scratched a little. I believe it is from the rubber seals. Mine are still stuck in the down position from when they were tinted. I tried to bring them back up but they got all messed up. I dont know what to do.

I tinted all the windows w/20%. To make a long story short, I ended up getting a ticket for the illegal tint. when taking the tint off I ended up scratching the glass in 3 places. nooooooo!!! For anyone thinking of illegally tinting there window you might reconsider

Mine are scratched. I knew they would scratch eventually, read it here before I got them tinted. Still keeps the hot sun out, still looks cool, and unless you look you really can't tell.
