Another Rear Diff Problem

Well I have an 04 Titan Offroad. My Diff. just blew on me today. Only have 6148 miles on it. Kinda annoying. Nissan has been OK to work with so far. The only problem I had was getting the right dealership. Called my original and said I had to go to the one nearest me. They didn't ahve the number so after calling information a tow truck was on the way.

Once there Nissan paid for towing put me in a rental car and said they would be in touch. No clue how much time they'll have the truck.

I'm not rough on the truck. Granted I do leave a little rubber on the road once and a while, but who doesn't with the Titan. Eased on it the first 800 miles to "break-in." Was sitting at a stoplight today, when it turned green I took my foot off the brake and stepped on the gas and heard a loud pop. Then the rear end started hopping and just whining when I hit the gas. I thought, "oh (explitive) there goes the rear diff." Limped it to the curb and started making calls.

I hope Nissan is good to me. We'll see. I have an F-150 right now, 04 as my rental. Doggy as hell for having 300 HP. Can't get outta of it's own way.

Had you checked the fluid level at all prior to this failure? It seems after the first batch of problems posted here, we had everyone changing out the fluid which seemed to curb the problem. Did the mechanics mention anything unusual; low fluid, missing teeth, shavings, etc.
