When I won the DAOD award, I did the same thing, except on the rear fender - scraped it all along the support pillar for my carport - lets just say I'm ALOT more careful and paying attention when I'm parking it LOL - $1100 to fix it (only parts replaced were the taillight $120 and the bedcap rail, not sure $$ amt but probably not much - everything else was paint and labor). Doesn't surprise me that it cost that much, for mine or yours, considering the labor rate at body shops and that they're going by what the book/computer says should take it to fix timewise. Sickening I know, but hey it's what we have insurance for.
