Titan and Winter

Went out on an ice fishing excursion after work yesterday which included a drive through a snow storm and snow/ice covered roads. Not sure if I am impressed with the ABLS system...Yet. It didn't seem to really matter other than it switched from one wheel to the other, because either wheel would spin and I wouldn't get any better traction. Of course putting it in 4x4 took care of that problem right away. Also not impressed with BFG rugged trail tires. They don't seem to track straight through the snow. Once they wear out the BFG All Terrain T/A KO's will be put on. I had them on my last truck and they were great. As with most trucks it was also easy to spin around the back end by just applying a little too much throttle. I guess I would have thought the weight of the truck would have kept the back end planted a little more.

Cooper makes a M&S Discoverer LT rated snow tire that can be studded - 275-70R-17

I am going to run those in the winter and probably also get the T/A KOs for the summer, as I am also not impressed with the OEM off road tires. I bought another used set of the 17" off road wheels.
