Any Northern California dealer experiences?

Hi all,

Anyone have any feedback about any northern california dealerships?

Anything from San Francisco to Tracy.

FWIW, I'm looking for a white/blizz 4x4 se CC + tow + offroad or possibly a 4x4 xe CC + offroad and I can buy a hitch.

thanks much

Mike,

I had a good experience with Adam Locke at Boardwalk Nissan in Redwood City. He is their internet sales guy and will quote you a reasonable deal if you do your homework and have seen other dealers.

Mine went in for minor cosmetic warranty work and its first oil change and the service staff/manager were courteous and professional.

Check the NissanUSA web site for model availability. Adam found what I wanted in Vacaville and drove up there and back himself on a Sunday morning to swap a model they needed. I drove my truck away that afternoon. He's that kind of guy.

I have heard that the dealership in Petaluma, North Bay Nissan?, has the best deals. Check with pluckyew, that's where he got his and I believe he had a good experience with that dealership.

Good Luck. Let us know when you get your TITAN.

Id recommend Keith at North Bay nissan in Petaluma I got 500 under invoice when it was hard to get that almost a year ago

I had the worst experince ever at Fairfield Nissan--their internet guy had us drive 60 miles (full family in tow) only to tell me that they didnt have truck in stock---this was after calling them three times on the way to the dealership for directions--then they low ball me on the trade in after we had already agreed on it

Im glad it worked out for you HackinHound

I "bought" from two dealerships, and had night and day expiriences.

1) Tried Vacaville Nissan and they were a joke. The STILL have 5k markups on their Titans!?! When I told them what I wanted to pay, they were sarcastic and wasted my time. I took my business elsewhere.

2) I "bought" a truck from Fairfield Nissan. They sold me a truck they didn't have, and lied to me when I went to pick it up. They claimed they had it on the lot, but couldn't produce it when I wasnted to see it. Made up some more lies about where it was, when they finally confessed it was 90 miles away. That is the short version. I took my money back.

3) I bought from Elk Grove Nissan. Five stars, excellent dealer. No B.S., very fair business with no games. Excellent service from start to finish. I'd definitly buy from there again. They also gave me a coupon book for free service, although I live too far to use it. But I did put the 20% off accessory offer to good use, and saved a lot on my bed extender, step rails, and foglights. They are about 30min. from Stockton on HWY 99.

I just read that- very similar to what happened to me, also on a Smoke Titan. They called me to say they had the truck I requested. I went there, it was no where to be seen. They "found another just like it," and said it was on the way as we spoke. The showed us a copy of the window sticker, and it was what we wanted. We were running late for a Giant's game, so we did the paperwork and said we'd pick it up in the morning. The next day we drive down to pick it up. We can't find it. They say it's getting inspected and ready for sale, "they must have taken it for a test drive. It will be ready soon." ??? I'm very concerned, but kill some time and come back two hours later. No truck. More lies. I have visions of my new truck in a body shop somewhere, getting a quickie fix. The deal is off. Those guys are a bunch of morons. Then I here this story from a friend, that had recently bought a car there. He traded in his Eclipse GSX, and the idiot salesmen took it for a joyride and hit a curb. He was seen "fixing" it on the lot, with a can of red spray paint. Outside. On a windy day. Next to the new cars. I guess honesty is not their best policy.

I didn't deal with Fairfield Nissan at all, so I can't comment on them at all. That's only where the truck I specked was located. My dealings were first with Carsdirect.com and then Dirito Brothers in Walnut Creek. Over all it was a possitive experience doing business online. The only thing that I didn't care for was that Dirito Bros tryed to sell me additional products that I didn't want or buy. I bought my Titan in June and there may have been better deals out there, but Carsdirect gave me a good price and my local dealer wouldn't match it.

hey titanpower be VERY weary of their service department at elk grove--and be glad that you live far away

they blew a set of my speakers a $600 amp, spilled some unknown material on my drivers seat,

and I ordered two differential covers ( the rust problem), the steering covers (peeling off), the overhead console ( cracked screw issue on early builds), I still dont have the parts from july 04

I was one of the first people to tell them about the water issure---they told me they couldnt replicate it--three months later my passenger carpet is stinky

took it to turner--told me as soon as I come in on monday they will order a whole new carpet for me

and get this took my car in for a oil change at turner my overhead console will be installed on moday!!!!!, the brakes on friday, Im waiting on the aluminum differential cover also

thats service for you

I was this close to trading in the truck--but if turner keeps treating me with such service I may keep the truck I love soo much

so I would be careful with them. if you call nissan1 they will tell you of all the complaints that they have in the service dept--they dont even put down plastic on your seats when servicing.

I am still dealing with nissan and the elk grove customer service rep, but I still havent been made happy yet

SmokeTitan,

thanks for the positive report regarding Turner and negative regarding Elk Grove.

For the problems I've have with my Armada I've been dealing with Shingle Springs Nissan, which is east of Sac on Hwy 50.

So far they have been ok to deal with, but they haven't really done anything except an oil change. They are still waiting for parts (Fuel Gauge Sender, Roof Kit to fix booming noise and brace for overhead DVD). I called the other day after waiting 2 weeks and they told me the parts are on "National Back-Order" and no telling when they would arrive.

They shook my confidence a little when the service guy said they might have to send my Armada to a body shop for the "booming noise fix." That won't happen.

If service doesn't work out with them I'll go to Turner. I used them in the late 80's for a Z car and they were good to deal with; just a bad location in my opinion(Fulton Ave.).

You need to check out New-Nissan.com. Adam Smith will get you a deal better than any you'll find in NorCal. At least that's what I've found. They are a forum supporter and are an upfront and honest dealership.

Adam can have it shipped to a location by you or you can fly up and drive back like I did. It was the easiest hassle free, No BS, vehicle purchase I've ever made. Adam said it would cost $690. to have it shipped to Folsom, CA.(10 min. east of Sacramento of Hwy 50). I opted to fly up on Southwest for $155.00 and drive back.

Everything worked out so well It was surprising. From my initial call to Adam, I was driving my Armada about 3 days later. I will most definitely buy from Adam Smith at Advantage Nissan aka. New-Nissan.com again.

Don't worry about DMV. You will have your plates the same day you go into register. You will have to get it smogged first and DMV will inspect for 50 State Emissions. It took me an a little over an hour when I walked in ( No Appointment).

Best of Luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Tim

Thanks all for the quick responses! I ended up driving one out today from Hayward Nissan. They had what I wanted at a price I could live with and the negotiations were very civil, friendly in fact, and not pressured. Although the "gold plus" last-step-add-on guy seemed disappointed that I couldn't afford extra Nissan coverage.

Here it is watching over its little brother, which it will be towing to the track frequently.

Thanks again, glad to be part of the community.
