has anybody else noticed this? if you have the heat on and you make a turn, you feel a cold draft. i have noticed it a couple times. laugh every time it happens. its just a weird thing.

I drive a winding mountain road everyday and have noticed the strange draft sensation on every vehicle I've ever owned. I notice it with my wife's civic more than my Titan. I never gave it any thought before, I thought it was just my imagination running wild. Maybe someone smarter than us knows the answer.

Let's put this to rest. It's a physics issue. I remember doing this experiment in highschool. It's very normal for this to happen. You just feel it more in certain vehicles simply because of the way they are shaped inside.

Try this if you ever get a chance. Get one of those helium filled party ballons and leave it free in your car or truck (works even better in a van)... Leave it in the centre of your vehicles roof. With the windows closed and fans off, accelerate fairly quickly in a straight line. The balloon should move towards the back, right? WRONG! It actually moves forward, because of changing air pressure/ air movement.

See what we can all learn simply from owning a Titan.

Thanks Titan for making us all smarter.

Common to all nissans?

I have two nissans (97 Altima, and 91 Stanza.) Both do the same. When the cars idle drops, as when the power steering is being used at the same time the gas is being released, the temp coming from the vents drops. It corrolates with a drop in rpm. Watch the tach when you turn the wheel but release the gas to see if drops below normal rpms.

I think there was some concern about whether the draft was coming from the cab, or from the vent. If you meant the vent, which I think you did, when you turn, you take your foot off the gas and the rpms drop then the engine is strained by the power steering pump and the air temp suffers. It might just be common to all nissans.
