Yes, if using factory wiring. Some people have been mounting them with an aftermarket harness & relay and putting an independent switch for the fog lights in one the switch blank on the lower left driver's side dash panel, next to the pedal adjust switch. I think that there may be applicable laws in some jurisdictions.
thanks. I just couldn't remember. I changed my high and lows bulbs to HIR's yesterday. When inspecting them I never noticed that the fogs turned off when the highs are on. So the HIR's are pretty nice. +830 lumens on the Highs and +600 lumens to the lows. I'd recommend the Highs for sure. With the lows you need to lower the aim as not to blind oncoming traffic so it's somewhat of a trade off. You will also need to trim the tabs to make then fit the 9005/9006 sockets. Pretty easy just don't screw it up:-)

I know that's what they say the reason is but why?? When your high beams are on nobody is ahead of you? Wouldn't you think the extra light would be a good thing? I guess I don't understand the reasoning behind it.
The high intensity debate has been raging since these bulbs came out. Sure the bulbs help the driver see better but at the expense of frying the retinas of oncoming drivers. This could imperil the safety of a driver with these bulbs if the oncoming driver is blinded and crosses the center line. http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/...6-07-xenon.htm

What I'm useing are HIR's Bayou. They are brighter and need to be aimed down. But otherwise their fine. HID Retofits are unsafe and illegal anyway.
You're not supposed to use your high beams in the fog anyways.

Nobody likes running into some hillbilly with his highbeams and foglights on! WE CAN'T SEE when people have that setup!!!
The fog lights are aimed down and not very bright. The high beams are aimed up and are very bright. Yes, meeting someone on the road with their brights on is extremely irritating, but whether the fog lights are on with the high beams is totally irrelevant.
Now let us only worry about the times when high beams are needed and pretend that everyone on the road is thoughtful and curteous enough to turn them off when meeting oncoming traffic or approaching someone from the rear. When I am driving down a verk dark, twisting, turning and hilly road, I use my high beams and would prefer to keep the fogs on to aid with road level vision. I am very happy that the Titan keeps the low beams on to help with this and do not see any possible way that having the fogs on at the same time would be unsafe to me (the only person on the road). So how are the fog lights a safety hazard to me when they help me see better?

Well First they add extra glare to oncoming traffic thus increaseing the chance of somone hitting you. And second, and more importaint for you, quite using them in normal driving conditions. They don't help you. They hurt you by causing your pupils to constrict reducing your distance and peripheral vision. The added light in the foreground gives a incorrect subjective impression of "better" lighting.
They should only be used in "soupy" weather at reduced speed. This is by beef with OEM Fog's. You can't do that and If you could they wouldn't be effective enough anyway.
