Don't get all defensive, but I've given it a good think! My Dec 03 Build titan has the most problems I have ever had in 40 years of owning vehicles. I am so tired of driving 120 mile round trips to my dealer (that's 240 per repair) and my wife having to pick me up.)
It's always something, and I haven't finished yet with almost 30,000 miles.
What a bummer, I've been a loyal Nissan fan and that is why I dumped my 94 GMC K3500 in great shape, so I would have reliable transportaiton.
Now the door handle broke, shocks squeak. right front tire still leaking (the wheel or sensor problem, since I have new tires. 4th time it has been in the shop. The tire goes down once a week about 6#'s and sets off alarm.
Something loose in the dash. Brakes warping again (third time) etc etc. I had old 50's cars with less problems the first years.
Love the drive train, tows like a dream, fun to drive......... but overall a BIG PAIN. Wish I could afford to dump it so I'll quit getting behind in my work.
I Hear You - At 22,000 Miles my Titan was Getting Ready for it's 3rd set of front rotors. I just dumped my Titan XE CC 4x4 for a new 2004 Ram 1500 QC 4x4 5.7 Hemi. The dealer gave me $24,000 for the titan and after negotiating and $5,000 in rebates I drove of with a $36000 Ram for $25,500. I really love the Ram -
Gearman, please refrain from posting the details of your deal again. It is nice to hear that you are happy but for the love of God I don't need to see those numbers over and over in multiple topics!

I think the numbers were quite applicable to this thread in light of the fact the original post didn't know if he could afford to dump his Titan. In the future please refrain from reading reading my post especially if you see numbers in them. I'm sure it's as annoying as seeing the details of what's in your truck everytinme I see your post.

my TITAN has had its share of problems too, im about to hit 11500 miles and i already need my 3rd set of rotors. i have a dash rattle they have not been able to fix, and the brakes are starting to squeak big time now, im pretty dissapointed in the quality.

I agree that the Titan has had some problems too, and I have thought about getting rid of it too. Then I keep thingking that the problems I have have been mostly just cosmetic, with the exception of the 3rd set of rotors, but even that has been an easy fix. I am waiting till the dealer trys to tell me that I need brakes, and then try to charge me for new rotor, b/c they have turned mine so many times there is nothing left on them.
But I agree still, if I had money I might get rid of it, but what out there is better? I do not know that there are any other trucks that would be better.
I'd like to know the answer to that one too.....I'm thinking of getting rid of mine too.
I'm just fed up with my dealer...the unfortunate thing is...the only one that I could get decent money from on a trade is from them! Talk about something biting me in the a**!!
" but overall a BIG PAIN. wish I could afford to dump it".
I feel the same way sometimes.
Well i just got my '05, even after reading all your postings. It's all I could hope for ( hope it stays that way) and i think the girl in my Nav sys. likes me.
LE,KC + the works

I became worried about what would happen when my warranty was up - I was at 22,000 miles - the dealer actually replaced my rotors once - and they were warping again - a couple other things were just annoying items that I just got used to - like the driver side window getting stuck in the down position- I liked the Titan - I just had my doubts about the longectivity of the 2004's and the expenses I would have once out of warranty. Glad I dumped my Titan when I did. Still have my 2001 Pathfinder - never had a glitch with it. Been driving Nissans for 20 years & will probably always have one in the garage.
