Torque spec

I would down load a manual but I"m on dial up and everyone says it would take forever. Does anyone know the torque spec for the oil drain bolt and shield bolts ? Thanks

Would you like a copy of the manual on CD-ROM?

Torque the drain bolt? yes, I have those numbers right here......snug it up, and don't overtighten & strip.

I'm sure you're new to servicing vehs, which is great, but nobody torques drain bolts, or access shield bolts.

Been doing most of my own wrenching for years. High school auto shop. Do high schools even offer this anymore ? I know my sons school does not.Graduated in "76". While I havn't dissasembled a motor in almost twenty yrs and I don"t possess the knowledge to figure out electronics I still like to get dirty. We have four dirtbikes that require constant maintanance, lots of aluminum. Real easy to screw things up. Everything goes to torque spec. My son thought I was just anal until we had to Heli-Coil the side cover on his bike. I reminded him that 7.2 ft pounds means 7.2 ft pounds.
I know its just I drain bolt but I still like to know its on right. Habit I guess.

just tighten er up good and snug, no problems in 40 some odd years, and I didn't even have to go to auto shop.

Graduated in "76"....Wow, I thought I was the only old guy here.
Some things just don't need to be torqued, just tightened....I have 5 torque wrenches, I just know when they're needed.
