For the love of God not another Tick!!!!

Im am now convinced Im cursed. When I first bought my truck it sounded like a can of marbles. I spent countless hours sound proofing and fixing rattles and I was proud to say my truck was rattle free. Well... A couple of weeks ago I started getting a loud tick that sounded like it was comming from the back of dash/firewall area. It is actually 2 ticks that sound the same that are comming from either side of the truck. It only ticks at highway speed, It occurs more frequently when theres a sidewind or passing an 18-wheeler which has led me to believe it has something to do with the suspension and body lean. I took off my Jettech bars thinking that might have something to do with it but it just made it worse. it has nothing to do with RPMs( i fixed that with ground wire Thanks to Arkman0) If you have any suggestions or input PLEASE respond

Thanks,
Zack

Try loosening & retightening the cab bolts.
Mine have had to be done twice to stop a Tick or maybe closer to a click.
Once @ 300 miles (nissan tech showed me how he fixed it).
Noise came back @ 5500 miles. Loosened & retightened myself. Fixed again for hopefully 5500 more miles!!

I want to be a little more specific. Its more like a click then a tick, On the highway it will ocasionaly click independently one side of the truck or the other and sometimes if the condition is right ill click on both sides at the same time. It appears it has nothing to do with the road ( ie going over bumps/uneven pavement) There have been several times it has clicked louder and I could feel it through the pedal. What gets me is that ill only do it at highway speeds. If I take it to the dealer they will either tell me its normal or they cant duplicate it. BTW, I tightened the cab bolts and took it for a test drive, and that didnt stop it.
I would really like to know the torque specs on that bolt if someone who has the manual please look it up I would really appreciate it
Thanks

Well i'll be darned, my truck started doing the same thing last week. It only does it at speeds above 75 mph. Also it seems it does it more frequently with a side wind.
I'm thinking about taking the bug shield off to see if that is the problem.
I would just turn the radio up but with that radio fade..................

I think I may have the same "click". To me it is more of a "POP", like a rock hitting something under the vehicle.
I only hear it when I go over 75mph and / or goose it at high speeds. I might get 2 or 3 "pops" within 45 seconds, all coming from different areas.

No locktight.
When I loosened & retightened mine recently I had to use a 1/2" ratchet with a very long handle because it was so tight a regular craftsman 1/2" drive ratchet would not budge it.
I don't have any idea of the torque specs. I just loosened till it was about out, sprayed everything down with wd-40, and retightned with the long handle ratchet. (17mm socket) will fit the bolt.
My click seemed to come the one that is under the jack area of the truck, however there are 4 cab bolts so it could come from any one of them I assume.
The Nissan Tech told me the trick is to loosen then retighten. He could not provide an explanation or even a theory. He said all he knew is that it works and that noise was fairly common complaint.
