4LO whistle

hey guys i took the titan out for a bit of offroading today, some mud, wet field of grass where i did lots of dohnuts and got to play with the VDC and i went throught some somewhat deep icy water in grass, had lots of fun titan did very well, i even went through most of it in 2wd, was slipping a bit but made it with not much of a problem in 2wd thanks to abls, did pretty well, through the deeper mud/water stuff i finally decided to try out 4LO for the first time, put it in neutral, switched to 4LO, it engaged, VDC turned off and i was driving around, i heard whislting noises, at first i thought it was the wind, since its pretty windy but it seems to be comming from the truck, does any body have an idea to what it is? in 2hi or 4hi it doesnt do this just 4lo, is it because it was my first time in 4lo and something has to breakin, or could it be something else? thanks for any help

I don't know about the "whistle" but it is normal to hear a sort of whine because of the lower gearing in 4 lo.
Every truck that I have owned had the same sort of noise.

Same here - 4lo gives some gear whine. Every truck/suv I've had (1 jeep , 2 Toyotas) did this. It's normal.
