Got my titan back from the shop with NEW problems

Well I took my truck into Suntrup Nissan in STL Missouri. I took it in for a laundry list of problems:
1. Engine "tick" (Explained as just the fuel injection noise. Bull****!)
2. rear lock box doesn't open all the time (now lock box doesn't close all the time. Nice!)
3. No switches for heated seats on LE (put in switches and put back on peice of plastic on back of passenger seat crooked and broken to be discovered later by me. ***hole!)
4. Driver seat creeks (cannot duplicate. Bull****)
5. stain on arm rest when first picked up (cleaned. Good job guys)
6. Window stay down sometimes (could not duplicate and then it did it on my ride home of course)
7. Pin stripe rubbed off. Told when I first took possesion. (not done Forgot.)

On top of all that, My air bag light was on when I picked it up. IT WAS FINE WHEN I GAVE IT TO YOU!
Why me ?

there is a tsb you can find w/ a search for the faulty window switches. if you take that in to them it would be hard for them to argue with you about it.

They are right about the engine ticking being the fuel injection, unless of course they just didn't understand you.

As for the lockbox, i've seen on some Titans where you gotta slam the hell outta the thing to close it. I've had to slam mine hard a few times before.

There is a procedure to get rid of the flashing air bag light in the How To section.

I don't know who make's the lock box for Titan's, but my Delta box is difficult at times to shut when I've packed it with something that is obstructing the horizontal bar running between the latches. Just a suggestion anyway for something you might want to check if you pack it pretty full, or see if that part may be bent.

The heated seat situation was that I bought a LE that was supposed to come with heated seats. Well, the seats did have the heating elements in them but there were no control buttons. That's right there weren't even holes for where they should be. No rocker switches at all. They had to dealer install the wiring harnesses, switch mounts, and they had to get a new dash cover with holes in it. Great QC they must have at that MS plant.

Yup. It is off to Lou Fusz after this. Plus, I talked to the service manager and demanded a meeting with the Nissan Rep when he comes around next. He actually asked me why.

Don't wait for them to get the factory rep, you'll never see him, and if they haven't changed procedures since I last worked in a dealership, they never come out unless asked to. YOU CALL the regional headquarters and request a rep see your Titan. They will make arrangements for you to meet them at the dealership.
You got me wondering now, my '05 Titan LE came with bench seats, I just figured they weren't heated. I wonder now.

As far as I know, all LE come with heated seats standard. May want to ask about it.

MO_Titan,

I don't know about Lou Fusz service, but thier parts people really stink. I would not take my truck there for service.

I bought my truck over the river in Alton at AutoCenters Nissan of Alton. If you can stand the drive, the service guys over there have been fantastic.

I too have the driver side ticking (sound more like valve train noise. my old nissan mini truck had the same sound it's entire life). Search the forums you may find a fix I just haven't got around to it.

Good luck!

It states in the brochure that the bench leather seats are not heated. It was one of the reasons I went with cloth.
