suppossedly the first has been accomplished, no great detail but seems to be reliable info. I part on the 04 needs to be drilled and a the new hinge is unpainted but other than that the guys claims to have done it.

its been researched extensively and the parts and modification needed is way too much of a hassle. It can be done with the right parts and drilling required with the right DIY attitude.

i am currently working on a different solution for a tailgate assist. i have all the parts from a local auto parts and probably will machine some bushings if i can not find them. it has proved to be a little more than i thought but i will prevail guys when i get this finished ill have detailed pics and part #s. i could be a week before final assembly. wish me luck
