Missing footwell light...

I've had my Titan for 8 months now and always thought I had rear footwell entry/exit lights in the bottom of each rear door. A couple of days ago, I noticed that the drivers side had burnt out (or so I thought). Upon closer examination, I noticed that the light did not even exist. In fact, it looked like the plastic plug had never been punched out from the factory. Took it to the dealer and they promptly installed it. Anybody else notice this?

My SE KC came with the lights on the bottom of the doors (if this is what you mean). I'll have to double check this again, but pretty sure it did.

courtesy lights are at the bottom of the door, and the footwell lights are under the front console, where your feet rest. i don't think these come on the XE, and you may have to have a certain option package for the SE.

Ask and ye shall receive... see attached...
As Titan Critter was quick to point out, I was using the wrong terminology. The light in question is a "Courtesy Light" in the center of the rear door (CC cab), towards the bottom. This is a picture of my new one. Previously, there was only a grey plastic plug there 'though I had one on the passenger rear door.

As near as we can determine, that is exactly what it's for - lighting of the center console. This came up at least once before and you can search for the string. If I remember right, somebody referred to it as a "sexy mood light."

I have the lights at the bottom of all 4 doors too. The "footwell" lights (obviously lights in the actual footwells) only come on the LE models, along with puddle lights under the side mirrors.

If the lights don't turn on, try turning them on. Its located in the overhead console next to the small LED light used to light the middle console area. Make sure its in the middle.
