I am going to go over my options. I am out of work right now and cannot afford to loose to much by trading it in. I may have to buy a used Ford or Dodge.
Soanso - so which part of my reply was not applicable to the topic at hand? I was in the same shoes - granted mine were warm 'cause I had heat - and the only thing that gave me that option were the rebates - a possible option for a guy that may have a problem.
Trucknitz - so far so good, I have about 1,700 miles on the Ram so it's too early to really tell - but not a single issue yet. I do miss the launch power out of the hole that my Titan had - the power train on the Titan is awesome - with the Ram time will tell I guess.
Wow you guys ! There sure alot of unhappy customers. Its weird that trucks can have the same parts, built by the same people at the same factory and come out so differnt. I have had mine since June. I have had 2 problems one was my radio, and the other was the tech scratching the hell out of my trim pieces. I have no rattles, squeaks,no brake problems nothing. So far the best truck I have ever owned. I dont even baby it either, I tow ,4x4 in the hills , haul rocks all kind of stuff. Its an awsome truck. It realy makes me wonder.
Mine is rusty to big time!! I guess I don't care that much I won't have it long enough to worry about.. lol
you tooo??? thats crazy isnt it--I would have swore I was the only one until the first time I showed it to one of the service tech he went and pulled the cover off,and said he found the same thing on four trucks, and said since they were all alike that it was just a factory issue--wtf does that mean??
I guess 30k doesnt go as far as it used too
the manager wasnt in today so I didnt even feel like dealing with anyone else, so Ill wait until monday. Im taking pics to send to Nissna, maybe theyll be nice and give me a o5 liek deepwater-lol
if not that 06 tundra, or the 06 SR10 (even though the ball joint thing scares me) are where I am going next

Smoke, ball joint thing is on Dakota & Durango which I believe are built on the same platform - a whole different platform than the Rams.
Now that I think about it I had alot of rust on my supports too - I remember seeing it when I was doing the head unit install and thinking to myself that it was kinda odd.

All Nissans rust on those support beams. IT is nothing new. Even GM vehicles rust there. So what you don't see them.
Been There - Done That - Here's My New Ride! Was on my 3rd set of front rotors - did 22,000 miles on the Titan - nice truck but I was beginning to wonder what was going to happen when my warranty ran out.
Report back at 22,000 miles on the Ram......

daschtick, I agree - 22,000 will probably be the first true measurement and when I will be able to tell if the swap was the right move for me, or not. Time & miles will tell.
well those problems don't seem to bad to me. I certainly wouldn't buy a ford or dodge i'd get the new 05 tundra which has 282hp and a 5sp auto. My buddies dodge had 3 transmissions in 32k miles. My last Ford had rear disks that couldn't go 15k without the caliper siezing and destroying the rotor. the stearing box disintergrated at 7k. what's afew sqeaks and rattles. sounds like they got the HVAC fixed so what are you worriedabout. I've got 8k on my Titan no brake problems or anything else yet
