Well, I got it back. They did replace the rotors this time and the pads and some pad kit also. They said they didnt want to turn them for a 3rd time as they may be too tin and heat up alot faster.

Hey... Captain sarcasmo, What's wrong?..we can't disagree without all the 3rd grade sarcasm? Right or wrong, we can all have an opinion. Grow up.
Sorry for the sarcasm - I agree it's ok to have an opinion, it okay to disagree, but at least do it in consideration of the the facts available, or with some degree of experience or expertise. The Titan brake issuse has been around for months - it's affected alot of people - if it were a new problem that one or two people out of thousands were affected by that may legitimize the "nit picky" scenario - I don't think you can reasonably reach that conclusion with the amount data that's available and the actions taken by the manufacturer. Spock out captain.
So it isn't an imagined - nit picked problem - it's people who race their truck to the light problem - and all these poeple with warped rotors just don't know how to drive a truck - if that were true wouldn't it be cheaper for Nissan to give each new Titan owner a driving/braking course at delivery. By the way Clint, my understanding is that the Maxima has bigger rotors than the Titan. The only two possible conclusions I have from your post are these (1) you might be a Nissan customer service/public relations troll, or (2) common sense is truely useless.

I have never had warped rotors on most of my cars until I had the Titan. I do not brake at the last minute to lights, I do not race or have to slam my brakes at high speed. I drive like a granny in the Titan, why I get 15-16 mpg. The brakes on this truck are not that good. I believe its in the pad compound really. It's causing too much excessive heat.
The maxima does not have bigger rotors. My service parts manager I have known for many years some here might know him, Dave Burnette, he is a big shot in the nissan club area. He said you can tell the difference between the two. The Titans are just much larger.
listen persons, its my opinion that the majority of owners who purchase our 25 to $30k titans are not going to track it or race light to light. assuming that we are using our trucks anywhere near what would be considered normal, which again i think the majority are, i feel that the truck should meet a consistent standard of performance (braking) which is the responsibility of nissan. we all also know that if nissan did not have to warranty something for free, they certainly would not, lets face it, there lawyers are certainly better than the majority of ours. nissan has already admitted to allignment problems with the z car, braking problems with the infinity 35, as well as several other design problems which exist in thier product line that im unaware of. this problem is not specific to nissan, it applys to all cars makers. something fails and it is redesigned and/or improved and the product cycle continues as long as it makes a profit. titans are a new design from the ground up, it is not unreasonable that they did not get everything right. it would be unreasonable if they did not take responsibilty for their mistake/s, which nissan is apparently doing by honoring warranty claims for the brakes. i don't know what else we could expect from nissan as long as they continue to stand up. im sure it costs them at least a couple hundred of dollars each time we bring our trucks in for a brake claim, this will lead to a solution! mine only has 1500 mi on it and when or if my brakes fail i will be unhappy for sure, but so far i love this truck and im glad i took the risk of buying a newly designed truck from a company that almost went bankrupted a few years ago. otherwise i could have played it safe and bought a good old trusty and proven dodge or chevy, which has been the same for ever. that's the risk i took and im free to change my mind anytime i want and so far im keeping my titan. i wish everyone who is having problems with their titan the best of luck and a quick and reliable solution from their service department. sorry for the ramble.
Nissan hasn't known how to do brakes since the early 90s. All their vehicles are the same...underpowered/sized brakes. Going back a ways, my Sentra had the same issues early on, as did my 2 Altima, 3 Maximas, Pathfinder, Frontier, Stanza, 04 Quest, the list goes on. Only the Ford build Quest (pre 04s) had no brake issues.
On FWD models, overtightening lugs were probably a big factor....although that may pertain to even RWD models.
The Titan uses Bosch calipers but who knows what crappy rotor and pad company they're contracted with. They seem to be undersized rather than of lesser quality IMO. Although I have had no problems with mine, I also only have just under 3000 miles. We'll see.

The only problems I had with brakes is the Titan and my G35. The G35 just dusted alot, and I mean alot. And its brakes wore out in 15k of miles. But never had warpage. The Titan warped in under 2000 miles.
I will have to go on the plank and say that not all Nissans have problems since NONE of mine did except the last 2 cars really.
Our 2001 Altima and 03 Altima have been perfect so far.
