Like others. I too was having problems with my power windows getting stuck in the down positition. I read a post about a TSB. So I called my service guy and told him about the problem. He asked me if I was flicking the switch. I wasnt sure so I did a test. With the window all the way down if you flick the switch it will start to move then go back down. He said that it confused the system when you flick it. In my test if you wait five seconds after it malfunctions it will reset itself. I asked if there was a fix for this and he said not yet that he knew of.
Has anyone heard of this?? Some one PLEASE TEST!
I find it hard not to flick the switch and its starting to irritate me.

I would go to another dealer! I had mine fixed last Monday. They said that it was a common problem on Titans and Armadas. They installed new regulators, switches, and something else (I cannot remember). Now, I just quickly hit the switch to go up and the window ALWAYS works!
i had my pass. side window motor replaced last week. yesterday, as i was leaving work, the damn thing started messing up again!!! when you say"flicking" the switch, what exactly do you mean? i dont think im doing anything different or wrong.
my power windows have only done the auto-down reset twice since I've had my truck in the last 8 months or so--- no biggie,
BUT,.....
100% of the time, when I use the key in the doorlock to put the windows up, they fail and drop to the bottom. Parts are on order now per the TSB remedy, and we'll see what happens when those are installed.
I don't flick regularly, but occasionally I'll do a flick on my switches to raise the window, and I've only had 2 inside-switch-based problems in 8 months
I have to agree with the dealer on this one. If you pull the switch up slowly and hold it for one or two seconds it will go up. If you flick it quickly it will malfuntion.
I concur with the dealer. Its just one of those electronic quirks that you have to live with in this "eeelicktronik" age. I dont really consider it a malfunction, rather a user interface consideration. Like most things nowadays, just hit the reset button and it'll fix itself!

MY dealer said also that there isn't a fix yet to the confused status that the window gets into. The TSB is for another problem where there is actual failure, not confusion. I'm on a list for a fix for the window position confusion, but it doesn't bother me. If you wait, it always works.

Mine started all at once......l did not do anything different so I think it is not a human usage condition but a mechanical one.....specially since I see the rubber molding that scrapes the inside of the window is deformed!

By flicking I mean pulling up on switch and letting it snap back down. Mine will get confused every time. It only takes a few seconds to reset, but you have to leave it alone for a sec. Then it will go up.It just gets annoying cause I seem to do it almost every time.

Your right it always works, and it's not an actual failure, so that tsb would not apply. My dealer has been pretty good so far. I just seem to do it every time I roll the window up. Gets annoying after a while.
What kind of list are waiting on. I hope there gonna fix it.

My link was to a 'new' TSB just released 12-10-04. It's the TSB related to our 'confusion' problem. I'm going to have mine done next oil change.
The list was something that the service center had my problem documented so when a solution was found, they could contact me.

Well, after learning about how the system works, it really doesn't have a problem.
You need to not lift it back up right away. Give it 5 seconds then you will hear a click and you can try again. I also noticed its better to not use the auto up the first inch of it coming up then use it. The auto-up causes the window to go back down (safety measure) is acting too sentitive. But there really isn't a fix. Just learn how to deal with it and you will be okay.

Have a good one.
I read the TSB released on 12- 10 and that doesent seem to relate to the confusion problem. It states that the auto up not working while normal up works fine. Am I not reading it right? Mine will not work in any mode untill a few secs and then it resets and works fine.

I'm sorry, but this flicking thing is crap. If i grab the switch, rock it all the way back to engage the auto-up function, then it is supposed to go up. Otherwise I might as well not have an auto-up function. If my dealer told me that I was too stupid to know how to use a switch, I would have to put a foot up his bunghole.
To engage the window auto-up function, I pull the switch up to the top to engage the auto-up function, then release the switch. 99% of the time it works, and the other 1% I have to play with it for several seconds. I have never counted how many seconds it takes before it will go back up, but sometimes it works quickly and other times it takes a while. (only happens on driver's side) Thankfully this has never happened to me in the rain!
I have never taken it in because it happens too infrequently for me to know I could reproduce it for the dealer. Now that a TSB is out, I will have to schedule a visit.
