I asked my service center about the brake fix and they said they can't do it until there is warpage on the rotors. He did say that it's better to wait as long as I can, as I'll get a free brake job out of it.

Have a good one.

Re Torque

Someone said they retorqued their lugnuts to 85 footpounds and this reduced the judder. The owners manual says to use 98 foot pounds. I tried this and it worked for me. The judder is reduced for the most part. I think the stock rotors are easily warped by heat and stress.

Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk.

I had to put this in there. You would not believe the number of people I have meet that cannot operate a torque wrench.

Was wondering if the people have brake problems tow or is it happening in just day to day driving conditions?

Good news is that I have 5 torque wrenches, at lunch tomorrow I'll loosen them all up a taste, and re-torque...can't hurt.
Does it when I get down to the last 25 mph or so.

"Hi my name is Louis, ....and ...I...have ...judder. There, I said it"

Just a question about some of this stuff. How many people have aftermarket wheels and still have the juddering? My truck just started doing it a whil back, but when I changed wheels it seemed to disapear. Has anyone measured the flatness of the factory wheels where they mount to the rotor? If I get time Ill do it this week. But if the rims are not flat, after a bunch of heat cycles, that may cause the rotor to distort. Loosening the lugs could alieve the problem, but that wouldn't be a fix. Also, the f150 use the exact same bosch brakes we do, are they having problems ( maybe just not able to go fast enough to heat thiers up)?

Stock off-road tires and wheels here....I retorqued to about 90 lbs. about a week after I bought my Titan in Oct.04..now about 3,800 miles..no judder yet......for thae brakes that is......I'm sure my old T100 with the rear drums that never adjusted properly would have warped the rotors by now with the same miles as my Titan....so until the judder happens for my Titan....I am pleased with the brakes performance. The dust is minimum also....My SEKC was built on May 21,04. I will keep all posted on how everything goes..bigger brakes and pads would sure sound nice after hearing ya'll.

I still have my stock wheels. BTW I'm a 3 time champ at 9600miles. This is the first out of the 7 cars I've owned to do this.

I warped the rotors at 7500 while towing a 6x10 motorcycle trailer with brakes/prodigy with a total combined weight of 2500lb! I'm convince when I tow next time the same thing will happen.

Got the 'judders' at a only 1,700 miles! My question is, however, if this isn't fixed immediatley are there bad consequences? I don't have time until after the holidays to take the truck in and it seems to be getting worse (harsher vibration) daily.

Thanks.
