Wiper motor noise with cold temps (-25 F)

Last weekend was the first time I had the truck up in N. Minnesota in cold temps. The night time low was -25 F and I the truck was parked outside. The next day I went to leave (it was about -2 F) and hit the wipers to clear off the windshield of a little snow. Something on the left side screamed, LOUD!

I have no idea how the wipers on the Titan work but it sounds like there was a belt slipping. The wipers seemed to move a little extra slow too. Those temps are hard on everything...

I drove the truck and tested it every now and then and it still did it. As I was driving south the temp warmed to about 5 F and the truck warmed up too. It stopped and since then there is no sound, however, the temp is now around 20 F.

Anyone run into or hear this before? Anyone have a manual picture of how the wipers motor/motors are setup?

Owl thread

That's kind of why I'm asking. When the bird hit, it past over the passanger wiper and cranked the wiper blade up a bit. But since the noise stopped with wamer temps I figure it must not be from the bird...
