Aftermarket Wheels and Tire Pressure Sensors

What brand of after market wheels will work with the tire pressure sensors on our Titans? I ordered a set of MB Motoring wheels from Discount Tires.I went to a tire shop today to have them mounted. The sensors would not install without air leaking. They tried all sorts of things like replacing the rubber grommet but to no avail. Has anyone found a wheel that will work with the sensors?

The ones I have work fine. I wasn't sure but others said to put in a new rubber grommet in it. I didn't have to. They have been in and fine for months now.

hmmm.. I have stockers, BUT
I though SIZE of tire had more to do than with what kind of wheel... I don't know about MB motoring wheels. Are they a thicker guage of aluminum than most?
It sounds like the sensors are not seating correctly for some reason.

Is it just ONE sensor leaking?

If the tire shop put in plain old rubber valve stems, would it still be leaking?

I hope that Discount didn't damage your sensors taking them out of the old wheels.

When I swapped wheels from the ugly 17" XEs to the 18" LEs, I had the Infiniti dealer do it and they didn't have any problems with the R & R of the sensors. Seemed pretty durable when I was holding in my hand.

With this brand of wheels the tire pressure sensors could not be fitted flush with the inside surface of the wheel, hence the leak. They installed regular valve stems and it worked fine. I might just have the factory wheels chrome plated.

This one, Bruzer, worked for earthdog. PM him to see how he got the sensors to fit.

4FV,
I had a set of MB Motoring wheels, 17 x 8 and the sensors worked fine. Had problems with the wheels so I went with Equus and the sensors will not work. Had tire dealership take them out. No problems that I'm aware of. I keep an eye on my tires anyhow, so I don't worry with the sensors. It seems to strickly be how the wheel is made as to wether or not the sensors fit any given wheel.

Sensors fit my Centerline Stingrays III just fine, no mod needed. They have been in there for a few months now, and no leaks
