05' slows faster than normal

I've got my 05' and it seems that it slows down faster than usual when I let off the gas. Is it just the gearing for the Big Tow package or is it something with the rear diff. (by the way is the old 04' cover) but, I also remember hearing that some of you has your truck down shift on it's own when you let off the gas going down hill. Mine doesn't downshift that I've noticed. I just think it slows down rather more than it should when I try to coast.
If I pull the fill plug from the rear diff. do I have to put it back on to a certain torque spec? or just tighten it down.

It's normal. Although Nissan doesn't advertize it, the Titan/Armada has a GRADE LOGIC transmission. It uses engine braking to slow the truck down. Works excellent on downhills.

It works most of the time, but sometimes, especially when going about 50mph, I find the tranny seeking fairly quickly and I just have to shift into 4.

Don't know about hills cause we have few in FL. But I commented to the GF at least 2 or 3 times already that I was amazed at how much coasting I got out of the Titan (4x4) as compared to the 2002 Fronty 4x4 I had. It feels like I can coast for miles in the Titan when I let off the gas. It felt like my Fronty was braking itself as soon as I let off the gas peddle. I like the free wheeling feel of the Titan when you let off the gas. The Fronty bugged me in that respect.

Hope that made sense.

Thats just it. when I let off the gas it doesn't downshift but, it starts to slow down a lot faster than I think is normal. I live in Florida too and not a lot of hills so how steep should it be for me to feel it downshift on a downhill slope.

This grade logic transmittion kicks in everytime I leave my home. I have to go down a 6% grade hill that is about 1.5 miles long everyday. As soon as I hit about 20 mph I see my rmps start to go up faster, hince the engine is starting to slow the truck down. Then as soon as I touch the brake pedal, it down shifts. I am guessing it stays in 3rd gear the whole way down the hill because the tachometer reads about 1600 rpms when I am doing about 30-33 mph.
