Thumbs up Nice mug......

Congrats TYTAIN....on the NISSAN stainless steel mug I mentioned a while back. It really holds the heat excellent. I got my cat back from the vets with a $500 bill......so that cut the Christmas budget to 0$. So I visited my mom in South Carolina....and topped up the gas tank @ $1.54/gallon for Citgo reg.

I got a Magnaflow stainless cat back exhaust (#15849).

Here are direct links to their Titan video/audio files: Rev and launch & Driveby

FedEx dropped it off at 2:45 on Christmas eve. We had to be at a get together with the inlaws at 5:00, so I got the "you aren't really going to try putting that thing on your truck now" look from the wife . Well, after a 2 hour install and a 3 minute shower, we were only 4 minutes late -- and sounding good all the way there.

I'd love to do that ....

But I live in an area with emmissions testing ... (about 4 or 5 hours southwest of ya) .... and if you have an exhaust "configuraion" different from that that it came with originally ... it won't pass ....

Emissions testing equiptment only tests the exhaust gases and emissions systems. It doesn't know what's original or not. And it can't be flunked because of equiptment changes unless they are the cause of elevated emissions.

Granted ... that it doesn't have anything to do with the emmissions themselves ...

But ... it has something to do with the alteration of the configuration ...

I am told that ... if a model of the vehicle of the same year came with dual exhaust ... and you upgraded your single to dual ... you're in the clear ...

But ... if you changed yours to something other than what came from the factory in a year, make, and model of that vehicle ... then it won't pass ...

Bummer. What kind of exhaust note does that $500 "cat back" system give your Titan?

Bill_n - The system I got isn't a true dual exhaust, technically speaking. It is all stock 3" pipe back to a single input, dual output muffler with dual 2.5" pipes out the back. They also have a single in/out that should give you the same sound/performance as mine -- model #15848.

Thanx ....

I'm gonna try to get more details on the statute ....

I know that they've got some book that they look this stuff up in ...

It's not computerized like everything else ...

I may just stop by a "Mr Inspection" tomorrow and bend their ear a bit ....

But ... I'm participating in the Banks Group Buy currently going on on this site .. and I expect that will serve my needs ...

Well I bought myself a few things for my Titan. I installed the PRG kit last week and also made a utili-trac compatible bicycle fork mount.
