interior lovin advice!
has anyone used/put on the interior 'upgrade' overlays (wood-look, brushed alum., etc) that adhere with 3m tape. looks like you can get an entire interior kit from auto interior places for around $200. does anyone know if this is long term stuff or is it junk? has anyone installed any stock or aftermaket stuff that has been good?
I installed a dash kit on my 4Runner.....It was on there for three years before I sold it....Made interior look 10 times better.. I will install a kit soon on my titan.

Very nice adj! How many pieces is it? I looked at their website and they had a 19 piece kit and a 49 piece kit. The 19 piece kit was more expensive, say $240. Not sure waht the differences are. I'd love to also see the carbon fiber kit on a Titan/Armada dashboard.
It's actually a hybrid kit. The Sherwood kit is real brushed aluminum, but I've noticed since having it it tends to scratch fairly easily. The custom piece is the "simulated" aluminum and has a gloss to it. Not a scratching issue with that piece, and actually I like it better.
Sherwood wouldn't cut me a custom piece for the aftermarket radio, and so I had to go with edashkit.com Nice guys.
The Sherwood kit for the Armada was like $269, and I paid $60 for the custom piece. If you want real aluminum, the Sherwood kit is the way to go. It is held on with the 3M tape, but it's very sticky and as long as you prep (clean thoroughly) before applying it, there should be no issue.
Man, talk about help the interior out! I added the billet shifter (got it at Circuit City on clearance for like $15) and it really all came together. So far I'd highly recommend the kit. It really helps out the cheap plastic parts, and I've had nothing but compliments on it. One note though, be very careful when putting the pieces on. I would recommend test fitting everything (especially the radio/console) and being patient. I had to reapply my console pieces because there are some tiny strips to the left and right of the radio bezel that have to line up just right or it looks like ***.
Thanks for the good words guys! Post some pics of yours when you get them installed.

i looked at the piece on edash and they have the option for 'alum' or 'brushed alum' i assume you got the brushed from them also, and is this the one that had the 'gloss' on it?
. . . and is this the one that had the 'gloss' on it?

Only problem with Sherwood for the Titan is the damn cutouts for the A/C that the Armada has. I don't like how it looks with cut-outs and nothing there.
