Regional categories

what do you guys think about the webmaster creating regional categories? For example, North East for New York region. West Coast..North west..stuff like that.. It'll be nice to get to know people from you own area.. I've sent the webmaster an email regarding this, but if anyone likes the idea and knows a moderator or the owner of the site, please talk to them.. It'll be cool!!

This has been talked about numerous times in the past, with many people for it, but I don't think that it is going to happen anytime soon. Can't remember the reason why but never seems to come up. Myself, I think it to be a good idea, but just one man's opinion.

This has been discussed previously and if I remember correctly, it was stated Ekool didn't want it broken down into regions like that. It's his site, so nothing you can do if he doesn't want it different than how it already is. I think one of the negatives that I've seen mentioned is cross-posting (ie something posted on a regional portion and shows up as well on the general discussion). That's something that I know was a problem on the Tundra msg board I used to be one, as it was broken down into regional areas.

Reigons work great for sites that are dedicated to off-roading. In addition to the Titan, I also have a Tacoma, and the big site dedicated to the Toyotas has Chapters from a bunch of states that organize off-road meets. Titans are pretty big for trail rigs, but there is another cool aspect of the regional clubs. When someone needs a hand with their truck, installing a suspension lift or whatever, they will often meet up to help each other.

I can understand not wanting to divide your message boards up into a bunch of serparate little "cliques", but it would be cool just to have some reigonal forums for stuff like that.

yeah..exactly..i just wanna get to know people from New York/ New Jersey region and share information for instance about discount stores and accessories..it just seemed like a good idea...i might just make a thread to find out if anyone is from my area...
