Calmini Winch Bumper

Calmini is thinking of making this bumper for the Titan if there is interest. I inqured about a Titan bumper after seeing the Xterra products they make.

Here is a link to the Xterra stuff they make:
http://www.purenissan.com/xterra.htm

Here is a link to the Titan prototype fitment or bumper in progress or whatever:http://www.purenissan.com/titan.htm

Email them at sales@calmini.com if you are interested.

I asked them if I could post the link to the bumper here. I also asked if any parts of the frame were modified or any part of the frame cut in order for this to fit. The Kennesaw Mountain Accessories bumper (http://www.kenmtnac.com/Titan.html) is similar from what I can tell, but requires a part of the frame (or part that is attached to the frame anyway) be cut. See the link for details on that.

Here is the reply Calmini sent me:
Brett-

You are more than welcome to post the link on the forums you visit.
We posted the link over a year ago on a Nissan 4x4 website and saw little
interest. If anyone is interested, please have them send an email to us.
It is my understanding that the only piece that was removed was the factory
front bumper cover and all stock supports are retained. Based on feedback
the bumper could go into production much sooner than we anticipated. Let me

know if you have any other questions. Awaiting your reply.

Best Regards

Does anyone know if there are other bumpers like this out there for the Titan in production or in the works?

Thanks,
Brett

the center section should line up with the edge of the headlights, where they meet the grill. maybe add two additional pieces that mimic the saber teeth of the grill.

ABR will is planing to release a bumper for the Titan next year.

Great looking bumper.

I was in Madison, Mississippi this past week visiting my daughter. Madison is the county seat of Madison County, where the Nissan plant that makes our Titans and Armadas is located. The plant is just about 10 miles up the road, about half way between Canton and Madison. It sits along I-55 and goes on for miles.

I though I had died and gone to heaven! The place is crawling with Titans and Armadas all over the roads. You can't go through an intersection without meeting someone, sometimes several at a time. Nice. I guess all the plant exec, engineers and management types drive them, and the employees probably get steep discounts.

Well, to the point. I saw another Armada SE Offroad, 4x4 much like mine with a really nice powder coat black bull bar type bumper on the front and a big Warn winch attached. The guy went by before I could really think about it, but later I wish I had chased him down to find out where he got it.

I didn't know there was anything like that out there in the aftermarket yet. Maybe he had it custom made? Maybe it is an R&D project by Nissan? Dunno, but it sure looked fabulous.

Let's hope Calmini comes through and that someone else (Nissan??) makes a full bull bar type bumper for those who want something even more protective and aggressive in styling. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Kennesaw Mountain Accessories

go to this web page and scroll to the bottom. THey have a picture of a winch bumper for the Titan that is in production. It looks pretty solid to me, although some folks that have looked at it (from this website) think it needs some subtle modifications like more adequate ventilation near the bottom where that fan etc. Take a look.

Yeah, I saw that, but wasn't psyched about the lack of flow to the radiator... not to mention the fact they cut that metal in order to fit the bumper. It looks like Calmini's prototype (or test fit or whatever) leaves everything in place. But I don't know that it has better access to the radiator...

Such rigs are nice if you'll always be pulling from the front, but a receiver mount winch can mount at either end, be carried out of sight, and only need be carried at all when a need might be anticipated.

That's what i'm looking for the front hitch doohicky and move the winch around depending on the situation. I picked the 2WD, I think i save money on Insur. and maintenance by having 2WD
