Has this happened to anybody else. While your driving with your lights on and you turn your brights on or off and you exactly turn the knob and the lights shut off.
This has happened to me a few times. The switch to turn your lights on/off rotates or turns way to easy. This should be addressed with Nissan I believe.
Just wanted to know if this has ever happened to anybody else?

It's a different vehicle, no two Mfg. are the same. It's just somthing that takes some getting used to.

I've done it a few times when using the turn signal.
The worst time was after I had inadvertantly taken a CHP cruiser at a traffic signal, where two lanes go down to one.
He stayed on my tail after that, and followed me on to a series of country roads. After a while, it was getting old. The CHP car had been on my tail too long, (and I didn't want the guy to have to suffer by going the speed limit as there aren't any good places to pass).
Then there was a small section with a shoulder wide enough to pull over and let him by, but of course when I use the turn signal out go the lights!
If I'd been the guy I would have had me out walking a line, but he just kept going.
I've done it before myself, but not something I'd get upset about. All vehicles have their quirks, and this is one of them with the Titan.
that CHP cruiser was probably seeing how well he could keep up with you and checking out the truck. I've heard of a few instances where the police/sheriff have pulled people over not cause they did anything wrong, but cause they wanted to check out their car, even a few from here just wanting to know more about the Titan.

No idea how you can turn the lights off...the switch has promenent enough detents. You'd really have to try to turn them off. Nissans have had the same type switches for a long time now...you just have to "flick" em', not actually grab them to operate them. Maybe I'm just used to them.

I have done that...twisted the turn signal lever (I drive a ford company truck) and it has the wiper control on the turn signal....lights went out and I quickly realized what happened.

This sometimes happens when I turn my fog/driving lights on or off.not the high beams as it is on the stalk.....is that what you meant?????
tobz, Yes, this has happened to me. It's easy enough to be driving along at night, keeping your hands on the wheel and simply extending your second finger to change from high beam to low. You end up pushing the top of the headlight switch, which rotates and turns the lights off, rather than pushing the stalk forward and dimming the lights. It will get your attention the first time you do it. I feel for the end of the turn signal lever now so that I don't repeat this. It's something that could use some attention for sure.

I have had this happen to me even though I am a longtine nissan owner. My solution was to pick up a couple of rubber o- rings at the end of th light switch on the stalk itself. If you get one that is tight enough it causes enough frictuion to deter the light switch from rotating
Thanks for all the replys. Hopefully Nissan looks at. For know I going to try to the oring deal.

Now that is Yankee Ingenuity!!! Thanks....I'll go get the o-rings today. What size and diameter????
I have the same issue with right turns. Especially in cold weather when I wear work gloves. Out go the lights. Not a big deal but I wish Nissan had an "electronic suggestion box" where you could mention these little issues. maybe prevent them from getting into the next model year. Kind of like the radio reflecting in the rear window. Not a biggie but could be engineered differently. The light thing does get your attention the first time.
Happy New year.
