Trolls amongst us?!?

Has anyone else been noticing that there seems to be many members on here with 2,3,...5 posts that have only posted because they "supposedly" have a problem(s), or Nissan bought their truck back, or etc., etc.?

Seems to me that we have a number of trolls on here instigating and perpetuating the problem threads. Maybe, just maybe they really are owners with problems but with so few posts, and nearly all of them just throwing in a complaint or two, it just seems too coincidental to me.

Am I the only one that has noticed this?

stk10767 post on waiting on oil change to 3750 miles on breakend sounds just like a troll post. TROLL POST. See what you guys think. Maybe members should go through checks such as the Vin number before getting a pass word!

Yeah, I generally think they have like a maximum of 5 posts to their name...

I was thinking this too.

stk10767's first post was definitely less than tactful. But then again he or she made a valid point, in that the owner's manual doesn't address break-in oil change requirements, just normal intervals.

However I disagree with stk10767, as most did on the thread.

Also, we all had low numbers at the beginning, and newbies are going to have issues too, as well as a bunch of questions we all seen before. Most don't know how to search, or are too lazy. But if everyone used search this site wouldn't be very dynamic either.

Trolls are good for the site, as long as they are civil, because they will spawn the generation of valuable information about our Titans, as TitanTalk members shoot down their bogus claims.

What I find amusing now is the low post number users that are so ready to defend the Titan when any user makes a negative comment. I was like this myself and very troll phobic at the beginning.

Now I have a respect for the strengths of the various makes, but currently prefer my Titan to anything on four wheels.

Happy New Year!

I found this link describing trolls and why they are destructive in their behavior. I don't see it as that much of an issue on this board and I am very confident that their efforts will be met with much greater force. I do find it disturbing to begin labeling people as trolls because they are new to the board and take a controversial position. Casting suspicions on these folks just drives them away. If they are not 'trolls', you end up looking worse than they do! This thread look like the start of a witch hunt.

New members normally don't start in being assholes, there is a differnce between controversy and discussion, member discuss ,TROLLS create havoc, and we don't need a bunch of BS on the forum, so we don't need TROLLS on the forum. Did you read your link?

There once was a guy with no Titan,

The truck made him jealous, and spiteful.

So this forum he'd go,

And he'd bltch and he'd moan,

and then cry because Tytain did smite him.
