Just wanted to say Thanks!

For all the great information you guys have. Thanks to this forum I was able to solve 2 problems with my new Titan. I was quite down that the new one was starting to act like the old one...........goofy driver's side window and an engine knock at idle.

Was browsing through and found the link to the website with the TSBs, looked through there, printed off the 2 that I was pretty sure would solve the problems I was having. I took the truck in yesterday with the copies of the TSBs, the dealer didn't even have those yet, the tech said it made his life so easy. The window was indeed the switch (parts on order) and the engine knock was the purge valve (if I remember right), he said he went right to it.

Couldn't have done it without you guys!! Anyway, parts are on order and the truck goes back in on the 14th to have those 2 things fixed. They changed the oil and installed the brush guard yesterday (looks sweet). I'm thinking this new Titan will be ok.

Hiya. When exactly was it, I know you said it was yesterday but the knocking in engine compartment tsb was in the Nissan TSB sometime last month. ALL Nissan dealer should have it right after that day, the Tech you talked to probably missed it.

It's sad, but the last time I took mine to the dealer I printed out a list of my issues as well. If there were any TSB's that I thought were relevant I gave them the numbers as well. Fortunately (or unfortunately) the TSB's were no surprise to my dealer. As far as I know there have been no new TSB's for a month or so, therefore the dealers should have them all covered.
BTW, I'd like to thank everyone here too for their help. There is some good info here and some very helpful folks!

I second all sentiments. You guys really seem to have it together. And I secondly second wenrj1 on asking where the tbs' link is. I was thinking that a brand new truck ought not have such a pronounced knock @ idle.

The '05 list is a lot shorter, so maybe they fixed some of the issues listed in the '04 list above...

The Nissan dealer in Fairbanks is usually 2-3 months behind on TSBs, they are a new dealership and still having a hard time getting things from Nissan. They are just finishing the new building and finally have a service dept that isn't in the middle of construction. I've learned that if I want it fixed the first time to take the TSB with me.

akangl, I just wanted to comment that your Titan (Ice) looks really sharp in the blizzard color. Normally I am not a big fan of white, but for some reason I like it. Happy new year.

Thanks, I wasn't thrilled about white, but am cool with it now. I need to get some new pictures of her, she has a brush guard now and looks really awesome!
